The presentation will be given by a member of the Veterinary Cardiovascular Society and Charlotte McNamara (Portfolio Manager Health & Welfare) and Bill Lambert (Senior Health Manager) representing the Kennel Club will also be on hand for your Questions & Answers.

  3. Minutes of the 2017 AGM (copies of the minutes will be available at the meeting and will be sent, on request, to any member, either by post or email, well in advance of the forthcoming AGM).

  6. To receive, and if agreed, approve the audited accounts for the year ended 31 December 2017, as presented by the Treasurer. Copies of the audited accounts will be available at the meeting and will be sent, on request, to any member no later than 2 weeks in advance of the AGM.

THE FOLLOWING CHANGES/AMENDMENTS TO THE CAVALIER KCS CLUB RULES ARE PROPOSED BY THE COMMITTEE.

3. MANAGEMENT
Rule 3 (b) (iv) The Committee shall meet not less than six times each year.

5. ELECTION OF OFFICERS AND COMMITTEE
Rule 5 (c) No individual who has been a member of the Club for less than five years may hold office as Chairman, or be elected to the Committee.

ADDITION Rule 5 (l) VACANCIES OCCURRING OUT OF ROTATION (v) A person co-opted to the Committee shall have voting rights.

7. FINANCE
Rule 7 (a) SUBSCRIPTIONS (ii) The annual subscription shall be due on the 1st January. If any member shall fail to pay by the 31st March the Committee reserve the right to erase his name from the register. Acceptance back on the register will be at the discretion of the Committee and treated as a new application.

8. MEETINGS

QUALIFICATIONS FOR 2018 – The qualifying time period runs from the Northern Cavalier CKCS Society Championship Show on 6th August 2017 through to Leeds Championship Show on 27th July 2018.
Puppies will have either won a First Prize in Minor Puppy, Puppy Classes or Best Puppy in Breed at a Championship Show and/or Best Puppy in Show at a Cavalier Breed Club Open Show.
Veterans will have either won a Veteran Class at any Championship Show or Best Veteran in Show at a Cavalier Breed Club Open Show.
The qualifiers for the Cavalier of the Year will have either won a Challenge Certificate, Reserve Challenge Certificate or Best in Show at a Cavalier Breed Club Open Show.

Invites have been posted to all qualifiers where addresses were available! If you think you have qualified and have not received an invitation please contact Sheena Maclaine – 01621 740698 or email

Invitation and Entry Form are available to download here – Invite – Entry Form – please be sure to provide a commentary. Admission Ticket is £25 per person and includes 2 course lunch and programme for the day. To save money tickets are not posted but available at the door, however whilst tickets are collected at the door they have to be pre-booked .

We look forward to seeing as many of you as possible on 9th September at YEW LODGE, PACKINGTON HILL, KEGWORTH DE74 2DF (J24 of M1). Entries close: Monday 22nd August 2018. Sheena is going to Welsh Kennel & Cavalier Club Open Show so can receive entries at both of these.
