Judge's Report

I would to thank both the committee and the exhibitors for making it such an enjoyable day for me. The weather was better than expected but the down side to this was that later in the day expressions were hard to assess and some dogs flagged in the heat, not showing themselves off to advantage.

Minor Puppy (10, 3)
1 Gillhespy's Lorphil Lyphard
Promising 7 months Blen moving out with self possession, appealing head of correct proportions, lovely soft expression and dark eye, good pigment cobby and well-ribbed, balanced in outline, coat coming nicely for age. A very handsome chap. BPIS
2 Bloice’s Scotlass Oliver Twist
8 months Blen moving with confidence, good shape and topline, head a little leaner but still attractive with good eye and expression.
3 Pack Davison's Gwentons Finlay at Verilas

A class of quality puppies throughout.
1 Surman's Allrena About Turn to Vallender
9 months Blen in a small packet, well feathered ears framing pretty, unexaggerated head, large dark eye with sweet inquisitive expression, good neck and shoulders, well-angulated fore and aft, a wealth of coat, moving out with verve, showed well.
2 Koster's Harana Marvin Gaye
Showy 11 months b/t of good make and shape, solid in body, lovely head, true Cavalier expression, in good condition, raven coat gleaming in the sun, not so positive behind today.
3 Jones' Timsar Master of Ceremonie

Junior (6, 0)
1 Aldous & Smith’s Aranel Jimmy Choo
16 months, neat little Blen, caught the eye,well made with good substance for size, good dark eye, kind expression, a wealth of quality coat, moved and showed well.
2 Gilbert’s Toshini Benito at Charverale
12 months, well broken, Blen, more masculine type, another with good shape, solidly built, generous head, nice eye , not so pleasing on the move.

Maiden (6, 1)
1 Koster's Dortmund Take a Chance Harana
B/T just out of puppy, a bit in-between at present but nonetheless impressed, fluent in outline, typical head, round, large, dark expressive eyes, lovely disposition, moved and showed as one would expect. RBD.
2 Towse’s Miletree Gregory
Another nice dog, Blen, a little less mature, attractive in head, gentle in expression, firm in body, good reach of neck, level top-line, good tail set, moving steadily.

Blen, nice type, longer cast than 1, a good shape, decent neck, good top-line, lovely ears, sweet face, good eye colour, silky coat texture; just lacked sparkle on the move.

Veteran (3, 1)
1 Stark’s Jezano on Slient Wings to Tayfern
9 years, well marked Tri who still thinks he owns the ring, excellent mover, good reach of neck and lay of shoulder, proud head carriage, good ribs, attractive in head with good ear set and lovely expression. BV
2 Carter & Hyam’s Cheriecroft Tri to Remember at Mareve

8 years, another likeable Tri, out of a larger mould, sound mover, profuse coat, kind expression, also using his ears well.

Spec P/Grad Tri or Blen (8, 3)
1 Gardiner & Dansage’s Deranmar Merryon at Edonhill
Blen, such a sound mover, liked how the parts fit together., good throughout, right bone for size, good top line and tail set on the move, straight coat, balanced in head with soft expression.
2 Cole’s Darozel De Montoya at Christobeth
Tri, well presented, in excellent coat, not so much substance underneath as 1, good front assembly, scored in head, impressive, with large soulful eyes.
3 Levitt’s Kestrelflite Magic Moment

1 Levy & Sedgwick’s Pascavale Stanley
Glamorous b/t presented as one expects from this kennel, appealing in head, an endearing little face with glorious expression, liked his size, short coupled, good reach of neck, straight front, top line not always settled on the move at present.

Limit (7, 2)
1 Levy & Sedgwick’s Pascavale Pancho
Well marked Blen of ideal size, elegant and eye catching on the move, lovely crested neck, good lay of shoulder, level in top line, correct angulation; pretty in head yet masculine and well filled, good ear set, large lustrous dark eyes giving soft, gentle expression. Excellently presented and showed with style. BD, BOS.
2 Gardiner & Dansage’s Merriquest Royal Velvet
Small, compact Tri with good quality, shiny coat; pleasing shape, short-coupled, bone right for size, attractive head with good eyes and expression.

Well made, very soundly moving masculine blen; slightly larger type, appropriate bone, good spring of rib, firm top-line, correct tail set, mature head and kind eye.
2 Gittos’ Charlie's Choice of Jeffcock
Blen of similar size, broard skull, correct ear set, well filled under the eye, good top-line, plenty of coat, a bit fond of his tail.

1 Fry & Jackson’s Amantra Impetuous
Bouncy 6 months Blen, just a baby, very pretty feminine head whose proportions I liked, dear little face, dark eye, sweet expression; well put together with good neck, shoulders, top-line and strong quarters which made for a balanced picture; moved out soundly.
2 Bartlett’s Korolevsky Zviozhdochka
Blen, almost 9 months, her large dark eyes and beautiful expression won me over, well-feathered ears framed a pretty face, head mature for age, well-bodied, cobby; not showing the balance of 1.
3 Fry & Jackson’s Amantra Innocence

Puppy (13, 3)
1 Homes’ Leogem Minuet
Nearly 12 months neat Blen from small cast, with clear cut, balanced out-line that she maintained at all times, nicely made throughout, good body and bone, very correct head, soft feminine expression, showed her socks and had just enough coat for BPB.
2 Jones' Timsar Miss Glory Be
Good type, liked what I found on going over, plenty of substance, attractive in head, dark eye, suffering a bit from the heat and consequently slightly sluggish on the move.
3 Jones' Droleus That's M'Evil

1 Butler’s Tamyse Delecia
Ideal toy sized 16 months Blen, well put down and in full bloom, appealing type, full of quality, head just right for age, of good proportions, well cushioned yet retaining that ultra femininity, well spaced large dark eyes, soft, dreamy expression; moderate neck fitting into well laid shoulder, deep body, level top-line, good tail set, carried herself well on the move. It was her day, BB, BIS.
2 Pembridge’s Wainlodes Betsy May
Attractive 15 months Tri, decent shape, gleaming coat, good tan markings, short-coupled, good ribs; head not dissimilar to 1, liked her eye and sweet expression.
3 Pagan’s Kimark Mi Amiga of Sorata

Maiden (15, 2)
1 Conneally’s Coedgwylum Hot Kiss
Nice sized Blen showing clean out-line, compact and cobby, attractive in head, pretty expression, moved out well from behind, good finish to coat, showed with enthusiasm.
2 Maclaine’s Pennygown Reaction
A smart Blen bitch, well broken, carrying a profuse good quality coat, good in shape, pretty head, dear expression, rather lack-lustre on the move.
3 Pembridge’s Wainlodes Betsy May

Novice (11, 2)
1 Bent’s Pollybent Nancy Sinatra
B/T in full coat, showing overall balance, adequate neck, good top-line, decent mover, good head type and mischievous expression well feathered ears added to appeal.
2 Armitt’s Brasingamen Deep Opal
Smaller, lighter built Blen, compact and well marked, good in neck and shoulder, used her ears to advantage pretty face and attractive expression; moved steadily.
3 Gardiner & Dansage’s Edonhill Starlight

Veteran (9, 2)
1 Bartlett’s Deranmar Edwina for Korolevsky
Nearly 8 yrs Tri, slightly larger than I like but nonetheless deserved this place, moving extremely well, always attentive, typical head, using her well set ears to frame a very pretty face, such lovely dark eyes and soft expression.
2 Gardinaer & Dansage’s Edonhill Starry Eyes
Blen, coming towards 8 yrs, dripping in coat, nice type, small and waggy, good dark eye, liked her a lot but she would insist on putting her ears back and was panting badly, a shame.
3 Tyler’s Crystaldawn Tansy at Janthow

Spec P/Grad Tri or Blen (17, 8)
1 Maclaine’s Pennygown Pants on Fire
Petite Blen with plenty of richly coloured silky coat, not liking the heat but when settled exhibited a good out-line, well put together, correct bone for size, lovely feminine head without a hint of exaggeration and large, dark lustrous eye.
2 Turner’s Shalot Beguiled
Dainty little Blen with such a sunny disposition, moved out smartly, neat and cobby, nicely balanced in head, good ear set, very gentle face and gorgeous eyes; left her clothes behind.
3 Jones' Wightisle She's Magic at Droleus

Spec P/Grad B/Tan or Ruby (6, 1)
1 Taylor’s Florindale Touch of Black for Kemble
B/T, what an endearing little face, huge, melting eyes, softly cushioned muzzle, broad skull, balanced profile, profuse, glossy, coat with excellent finish, showed unstintingly.
2 Tyler’s Janthows Buttons and Bows
B/T, attractive sort of head, good expression, not quite so good in coat, pleasing shape, good neck and shoulders, firm body, nice turn of stifle, moved out well.
3 Pagan’s Kimark Mi Amiga of Sorata

Limit (13, 5)
1 Towse’s Miletree Eugene
Cobby little Blen, compact but not losing in angles, good straight front, enough substance, correct in head, another with very large, well-pigmented eyes, lots of straight, well broken coat, kept her out-line on the move.
2 Homes’ Leogem Scheherazade
Blen, nice head and expressive dark eyes, good make and shape, elegant on the move.
3 Turner’s Shalot Lady Bethan

Open (8, 4)
1 Conneally’s Jordanic Capri at Coedgwylum
Glamorous Blen in full coat, quality bitch, looking good both standing and on the move, plenty of scope, good front assembly, well ribbed, short coupling and firm quarters, attractive head with appealingly eager expression. RBB.
