Dog Eye Examinations |
| Seventy eight (78) dogs were examined. Retinal dysplasia was found in four animals and hereditary cataract in three. In one animal with retinal dysplacia an area of retinal detachment was present. It is the occurance of retinal detachment that can lead to vision impairment in such cases. This year did show a significant rise in cases of problems found. I hope it's a blip but it certainly indicates the need for continued vigilance. |
