Dr. Catherine Loughin, graduated from the University of Michigan, where she received her Bachelor of Science and the Michigan State University, where she received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree.

She completed a one-year internship in small animal medicine and surgery and a small animal surgical internship at Long Island Veterinary specialists.

Currently, she is engaged in a three-year comprehensive residency in small animal orthopedic, soft tissue and neurosurgery at Long Island Veterinary specialists.
