Dogs.   Mrs M Hogan
I would like to thank the Scottish CKCSC for their invitation and hospitality. What a super, quality entry! It was a thrill to go over such quality dogs, the only down side - only one red card in each class. I was very happy with my line-up and delighted that my co judge agreed with making the Dog CC winner Ricksbury Royal Edition of Crystaldean - B.I.S. Reserve B.I.S was the bitch Ch. Ricksbury Royal Embrace. Best Puppy in Show Byermoor Queens English.

Veteran (9 entries 0 absent) I was spoilt for choice in this quality class and was truly splitting hairs.
1 Barwell’s Ch. Charlottetown Trueman
In tip top condition this 7½ yr blenheim led the way in moving round the ring, strong masculine head, well cushioned, with lovely reach of neck, using his hocks to advantage keeping a level topline, being beautifully presented in good coat , full dentition in pristine condition. Close call between 1 and 2.
2 Rix and Berry’s Ch. Ricksbury Tommy
Another handsome dog with such style. Richly pigmented, in full coat. Lovely soft expression with the largest of round dark eyes which doted on his handler, good turn of stifle who moved with drive.
3 Coaker’s Ch. Homerbrent Expression.

Flashy well schooled, young blenheim with a sweet head, dark eye, moves well coming and going, excellent reach of neck.

Loosing out on maturity to 1 this lighter marked 11 mth old blenheim than 1, very lively, has a pleasant head, good neck and shoulders, good turn of stifle movement a little erratic – I shall be interested to see how this one comes on.
3 Town’s Barsac Wee Swallay
Novice (5, 1)
1 Rix & Berry’s Ricksbury Royal Revival
What a lovely boy! I was amazed to find he was only 11 months in this class – very mature, doesn’t need to grow anymore. Masculine head, large dark eye, excels in neck and shoulder, moved more confidently as the class went on lovely turn of stifle using his hocks well. – Was in my last four for consideration of top honours, which ipso facto made him Best Puppy Dog

3 Pettigrew’s Goliave Sole Survivor by Damaron
Open Dog (10, 2) What a quality class – another of those ‘hair splitting’ decisions - all quality dogs, who I am sure will change places many times.
1 Dolamore’s Ricksbury Royal Edition of Crystaldean
Dripping in silky straight coat, a very flashy, super outlined dog. Large dark eye, well cushioned, head, good ear set, good reach of neck with well placed shoulders flowing down to a "table top" top-line with correct tail set. Good angulation and turn of stifle which allowed him to move with drive. The dog filled my eye, he never lost concentration and came alive in the challenge. Delighted to award him the C.C. (which I understand was his third) and in the final challenge my co-judge was pleased to award him BEST IN SHOW.
2 Hughes' Ch. Loranka's Celebration
Correct size and type, with the most glorious soft expression – lovely dark melting eyes, rich pigmentation, he moved well coming and going – not quite the coat of 1 today – but turned out to perfection.
3 Lymer’s Ch. Lymrey Roger
