Bitches   Mrs S Allerton
I was delighted with the entry - so many really nice bitches. In the larger classes I pulled out quite a number, as I felt they warranted a placing. But at the end, one only has five places to award and the absence of a mid-limit class means all the ones one likes are in two classes amongst the senior bitches. One criticism: I found rather a lot with very deep stops and short muzzles, a point I think needs watching.

2 Inglis' Craigowl Bilberry
Another top class puppy who has all the essentials. Another one who should take top honours, but today, like so many, she'd left her best outfit at home.

A hard choice between these two. Another top-class bitch. Large dark eyes, set in a correct head shape. This was another lovely class, where many could change places. On this occasion I just preferred the front movement of the first.

2 Turnbull's Peakdowns Caprice JW
Another one I have admired from the ringside. A real toy spaniel, who has everything to make her the top-class bitch she is. But on the day, I just preferred the head and expression of the winner.

1 Taylor's Rosscrea Bedazzled
In my view, she is a really lovely, correctly made toy spaniel. Very feminine expression, lovely eyes, correct length of muzzle, carried on a lovely neck and shoulders. I was pleased to give her a C.C., which I believe makes her up. When it came to B.O.B., my co-judge liked her as much, but we felt the dog just had the finish.
2 Vella & Towse's Miletree Classic Dream Cinderlace
This is another really top-class bitch. Prettily marked, moved well. One who should gain her title. I just preferred the head and expression of my R.C.C winner.
