Dogs. Mr P Towse
I would like to thank the Humberside CKCS committee for asking me to judge at this show. I would especially like to thank all the exhibitors who entered for my opinion. Some were local & some had travelled considerable distances. With open show entries generally falling this was a fantastic entry. I was deeply honoured that exhibitors brought these cavaliers under me today. Thank you.

Best Puppy Lymer's Lymrey Hi Command

Minor Puppy (6 entries, 4 absent)
1 Payne’s Catemmsal Sunset
6 month richly coloured ruby with lovely dark eyes & attractive head. Neat well balanced shape with good bone & construction. Moved well & presented a good profile at all times. A quality puppy.
2 Lymer’s Lymrey Hi Treason
8 month old more mature, richly marked Blenheim with lots of straight coat, well broken with clean white. Nice head with large eyes. Good bone & well constructed angulations. Unfortunately a little unsettled on the move & low head carriage spoilt the overall balance.
Puppy (7, 2)
1 Lymer’s Lymrey Hi Command
Brother to the above & similar with good bone & construction. Less white but lots of straight silky coat. Two large dark eyes gave a lovely expression to his mature head. Good neck which he used to attain correct head carriage whilst moving well & confidently, maintaining a nice top line & profile. Best Puppy.
2 Moffat’s Rytonian Princetown
Another well made Blenheim 9½ months with good reach of neck. Dark eyes not quite as large as winner, but still very nice expression. Good bone, moved well with coat coming.

10 month Tricolor. (See Maiden)
Junior (5, 1)
1 Inglis’ Craigowl Billy Elliot
16 month well presented Tricolour. Handled to show at his best he made covering the floor an art, free flowing & effortless. Good dark expressive eyes. An attractive head, well cushioned, framed by a pair of long well covered ears. Broad top of skull held high on a good neck. Correct set tail, a continuation of his level top line, maintained both standing & on the move. Well laid shoulders gave perfect straight front movement. Well angulated hind quarters produced ample true & straight drive. A joy to watch & a very worthy Best in Show.

3 year old Blenheim with nice eyes & coat. Just lacked a little condition on the day that affected his top line on the move, but otherwise a nice profile.
3 Bigg’s Kelloran Poetry in Motion
2 year old tricolour.

Limit (12, 10) Unfortunately bad weather led to absentees which was a shame in this class as I would like to have seen some of those entered.
1 Dean’s Clockpelters Guiding Star
3½ year old Blenheim. Rich coloured heavily coated small compact bitch with good bone gives the impression of being a little short of neck, but is in fact nicely made. Good eyes with nice head.
