Dogs. Mrs D Black
Not the depth of quality in the dogs which has been prevalent in the past but I was pleased to have a quality final line up of good breed type, necks, shoulders, toplines and overall balance. I had problems finding large eyes and typical heads and found several with coarse expressions. Movement was difficult to judge effectively due to the poor surface in the ring, those cavaliers that were constructed well fared better, Cavaliers may be toys but they should still be able to move properly.

1 Coaker’s Ttitian Puppeteer of Homerbrent JW
Very nice ruby with true cavalier temperament good head with dense pigment, of lovely size, well complimented by correct bone and angulation. Not in best of coat but little to hide and produced the outline that catches your eye across the ring. Moved well on a less than ideal surface which caught out the less sound in the overall entry.
2 Maclaine’s Lochbuie Play To The Gallery
Sadly he didn't do that, not the most out going of cavaliers but a Tri of very nice proportions. In super coat, nice head with soft expression , well angulated with flowing lines and good topline. Moved well, masculine but elegant.

Well marked, rich blen, of good size and bone. Nice dark eyes, good reach of neck, topline needs to tighten up, only just out of puppy and has time on his side. A good positive mover showing plenty of drive behind. Put down well.
2 Willey & Siddle’s Penemma Pan Pipe

This dog caught my eye as soon as he came in to the ring, a striking blen full of presence and wow factor. Super moving both ways, driving from the hocks. He didn't disappoint on the table either. A dream to go over with everything just where it should be. A classic head with long ear feathers framing a flat skull. Super dense pigment and a sparkle in his character that showed in the eye. ln profile had the balance and elegance I look for in the boys whilst maintaining the bone and masculinity. Good angulation assisted the drive from the hocks and good coat finished the overall picture. Very happy to award him the CC and BOB with agreement from my co judge, and delighted to see him continue to sparkle in the group and be shortlisted.
