Dogs.   Mr E Tweddell
Many thanks to Richmond for the chance to Judge dogs, and to my stewards who looked after my ring with great efficiency. Quality was as good as I have seen in dogs, for many years. In the younger dogs there were far too many with wrong mouths I hope this is not creeping back in. Presentation throughout was excellent, but I did not realise the standard had changed regarding trimming? Quite a lot of exhibits had feet trimmed( not just between pads),some had ears trimmed, two had body coat trimmed and at least two had tails trimmed. I would suggest that if people want to do this, they take them to a grooming parlour who will at least know how to scissor in the ends to look more natural. Together with my co-judge we were able to agree, the dog CH WANDRIS ENTERTAINER as B.O.B & the bitch puppy PASCAVALE TRUELUV as B.P.

2 Sidery-Smith’s Whisky Galore at Wingspan

2 Coaker’s Ttitian Puppeteer of Homerbrent JW
A masculine ruby of ideal size, moved and showed well, good pigment, mouth and dark eyes. If the first two continue to progress, they will soon be pressing for top honours.

1 Bubb’s Ch Wandris Entertainer JW
This dog is without doubt the best example of our breed I have had the privilege to Judge, I am certain its all been said before about this dog, I would just say stand this dog in front of the breed standard & I believe except for a joined up lozenge, he would meet every other item. He is made to move and move he did, with fantastic head carriage that makes you take notice. If a cavalier ever deserved to win B.I.S. at this level, he does. C.C.; B.O.B & TOY GROUP
2 Baker & Park’s Ch Keyingham Branwell
Another top quality blen with much to admire, moved well but failed to use his neck and ears to advantage. I loved his well cushioned foreface, good mouth and dark eyes, good pigmentation. R.C.C

Bitches   Mrs A Oliver
As much as I loved my Bitch CC winner my co-judge Mr Ernie Tweddle and I were in complete agreement in our choice for BOB. I made this lad BP when he was just over 6 months and am delighted to see how he has matured into such a superb exhibit with a true temperament to match. He did the breed proud in the Toy Group ring and won the Group looking every inch a Cavalier!
I loved my entry and found it quite absorbing. Some were overweight and lacked muscle which affected placings, coats were variable. Only one or two untidy mouths, delightful temperaments throughout. Occasionally exhibits I liked standing let themselves down moving
