Dogs.   Mrs G Baillie
I should like to thank the secretary and the committee for inviting me to judge dogs at the Southern CKCS Club I was delighted to be asked and was made most welcome. I had a lovely entry of 241 dogs. However I was disappointed to see we still have some incorrect mouths in the earlier classes. Thank you to all the exhibitors who entered under me.

Bitches   Mrs P Sidgwick
It is always an honour to be asked to judge at a club show & this was no exception, I thank the officers & committee for their kind hospitality & the exhibitors for giving me the opportunity of handling their dogs, which were all immaculately presented. I hope that everyone enjoyed their day as much as I did. I was delighted with my final line up of quality bitches & would have been more than happy to award CCs to more than one of them, had I been able to. My co-judge Gladys Baillie & I were in agreement with all our final decisions, with BIS going to the tri dog, Ch Crailgowl Billy Elliot, who remained attentive & alert after a long day to show off his virtues to advantage; RBIS, the blen BCC winner, Ch Rosscrea Bedazzled; BP the promising MP blen bitch, Pennygown Regatta; & BV, a popular old favourite, the tri, Jezano On Silent Wings toTayfern.

Will surely be one to watch in the future, this confident soundly made youngster, well broken richly marked coat of good texture, mature in head for age, good width to skull, correct earset, large dark round eyes & promise of plenty cushioning under to give the desired soft expression, pleased to see her correct bite lacking in many in this class, super neck & shoulders, firm well constructed body. A worthy winner. BP.
2 Name Withheld Name Withheld
Well broken tri with classic markings, as yet still immature in head, but her soundness of construction, excelling in neck & shoulders, level topline, well turned stifle giving firm driving action from her rear-quarters won her this place.

Loved this ruby bitch, super size well within the Standard, looks superb in profile, showing off her elegant neck, well laid back shoulders, level topline, correct angulation to front & rear, richly marked coat of soft silky texture, on the move strides out with ease with correct tail carriage, just needs to finish in head, but with good dark eyes & pigmentation, once fully mature I'm sure will be hard to beat.
2 Martin's Ttitian Puppet on A String
Top class ruby with lots of personality, similar in size & balance to 1, just needs to tighten in front & finish in head but given time should mature into a very useful bitch.

1 Inglis' Craigowl Bilberry
Heading this super class the winner turned out to be a daughter of the BIS winner, which really shows in her personality & showmanship. Super outline when standing & is steady on the move. Although heavily marked, her feminine head, dark eyes well cushioned, rich tan markings & contrasting white give her that soft gentle expression so unique to our breed.
2 Goodwin's Lanola Sweet Wild Rose
Well marked blen bitch of good size & type, her dark eyes & good length of ear leathers give her the softest of expression. Pigment just lacking a little but nothing a little sunshine won't put right, lovely neck, good topline, well angulated rear quarters, lovely to handle on the table. Just did not make the most of herself on the move to show off her many virtues.

One who I am sure will gain her title with ease, unlucky to meet the CC winner, had to be content with the RCC.
2 Smith's Salcott Diminuendo
Loved the outline of this b/t, super neck & shoulder, level topline, well angulated rear, all of which shows to advantage on the move where she covers the ground with ease, pleasing head with dark eyes, correct depth of stop & length of muzzle ratios, flat silky coat is sleek with clear rich tan markings, feathering just beginning to develop which will complete the final picture.

1 Koster's Ch Harana Nina Simone
Lovely to see this feminine b/t lady again, at first sight I was concerned that she may have been carrying too much weight, but on handling, her body weight is ideal, hidden by her profuse coat & furnishings. She is the perfect size, large dank eyes giving the desired soft gentle expression to her glorious head, not exaggerated in any way. Would advise any new breeders of wholecolours to take a good look at this talented breeder's dogs as she has managed to capture the correct balance of head features. Deep stops, small, bulbous or light eyes, pinched muzzles lacking in cushioning will never give the soft gentle expression so desired of our breed.
2 King-Smith's Deranmar Shakira With Ispahan
This tri really stole my heart, I don't remember seeing her before, but loved her from the moment she walked into the ring. Classic head, rich tan markings, lots of cushioning to her round dark eyes giving the ultimate gentle expression that I was looking for, pleasing size, compact well ribbed body & good rear angulation. Just unlucky to meet 1 whose more positive front action tipped the balance.
