Dogs. Mrs E McInally
I would like to thank all the exhibitors who patiently endured the strong biting wind that invaded the tent where I was judging. I don't think I would have stuck it out had I not been judging and after a while switched off to the elements. The exhibits on the whole were very well presented and bad mouths were few and far between, I also feel that size is becoming more uniform nowadays and toplines and tailsets are much improved.
Many thanks for a lovely quality entry for my first time awarding CC's.
All of my 4 puppy classes were delightful and many lovely puppies had to go unplaced.

Minor Puppy (10 Entries 0 Absent)
1 Gaskell’s Jeilohn Charlie
6 months Blen baby, lovely head with plenty of time to continue improving, dark eyes with soft expression, rich pigment, still has lots of baby coat but when he is in adult coat his colour will shine through. Moved and showed well for one so young.
2 Gillhespy’s Lorphil Lyphard
Another handsome baby with lovely head and soft exp, short compact body with good shoulder placement displaying a good reach of neck. Well marked and sound on the move. Lovely temperament. I am sure both these babies will often change places.

1 Inglis’ Craigowl Garrick
Handsome well marked Blen with lovely head and soft expression, well constructed little dog which he displayed when moving freely around the ring. Although he was a happy little dog he seemed rather disinterested at first but soon perked up later in the class. An easy winner.
2 Paterson’s Phrenchy Bill Cody
Another well constructed little dog who moved with drive and ease, lovely head and exp, a little out of coat today but has nothing to hide.

I have admired this glamorous Ruby dog from the ringside on several occasions and he did not disappoint me today, he left some of his clothes at home today but his silky coat is rich in colour and was gleaming. Gorgeous head with large lustrous dark eyes and lush expression, He showed well and was at one with his handler.
2 Sloan’s Turretbank Midnight Mystic
Handsome B/T with a wealth of coat which was in exc. condition, lovely head with soft exp, moved with drive using his hindquarters, a novice to the show ring but not in the least fazed by it all.

This is a little dog which I have admired since puppy, Gorgeous head and an expression which melts the heart, very well marked with an abundance of silky coat, he is very well constructed and his movement is spot on. A real glamour boy but a little on the quiet side and I am sure with coaxing his personality will shine through. A worthy winner.
2 Rogerson’s Rabymar Apollo
Lovely headed black and tan dog of quality, lovely rich tan, masses of silky coat which does not hide any of his excellent conformation. Really covers the ground on the move, showing his lovely reach of neck and when standing he has a lovely profile.

Lovely Blen dog typical of this kennel, well marked and in good coat. He has the loveliest eyes and soft expression and he moved with drive and confidence around the ring, at one with his handler.
2 Hughes’ Loranka's Dreamed A Dream
Another sound quality Blen which this kennel consistently produces, he has a different type of head to my preference but couldn't ignore his overall quality. Gave 1st a close run for this class

1 Shinnick’s Leelyn Kameron
1st and 2nd placings were 2 really appealing Black & Tan boys with loads of quality and style. They both generate from the same wholecolour kennel which regularly produce top quality cavaliers, both were in excellent condition and it was a close run, however I preferred Kamerons lovely head and lush eyes and fuller muzzle.
2 Lewis’ Leelyn Bumble
A handsome pair nonetheless.

1 Rennard’s Deranmar Michael JW
Upstanding Blen dog of sound type and happy temperament, rich colour with excellent pigment and darkest of eyes. Moved with drive and ease around the ring, not the type of head I normally like but could not deny this placing.
2 Rix & Berry’s Ellisiana Crusader for Ricksbury
This Blen dog was a newcomer to me and quickly caught my eye. Beautiful coat with well broken markings, lovely soft head with gentle expression. Good shoulders with level topline on the move. I shall watch this one with interest. Just pipped at the post by Michael.

1 Baker & Park’s Ch Keyingham Branwell
This boy is good enough to eat ! He came out of the top drawer when he was born, he epitomises the meaning of toy spaniel, He is a well marked Blen with a wealth of silky coat which flows over a soundly constructed frame, lovely neck and shoulders with level topline which is apparent when moving freely around the ring. Head and expression to die for. CC and BOB and placed Group 2 in the Toy Group.
2 Inglis’ Ch Craigowl Billy Elliot
I would like to have had 2 red cards for this class as this handsome tricolour dog was unfortunate to meet 1st. I have often seen these dogs change positions and I can understand why. Billy is a lovely extrovert little dog which is not that easy to find nowadays, he also excels in construction and head properties. He also uses his excellent movement to his advantage and knows that he is being watched, both of these dogs are a credit to their owners. Res CC.

1 Waters’ Maibee Disenchanted NAF
Petite, sound well marked Blen baby with the sweetest of head and expression, very happy little girl and moved with confidence. Good neck and shoulders flowing into a lovely compact body, very sound and moved with confidence and style. She is typical of what this consistent kennel produces in top notch cavaliers.

Puppy (15, 3) This was a lovely class.
1 Waters’ Maibee Gentle Touch NAF
Classy chick with lots of appeal, she is rich in colour, well marked and in excellent condition, blackest of noses with dark soft eyes and exp. Although only a puppy she is a treat to watch as she uses her sound construction to move freely around the ring with drive and enthusiasm, she has been here before I imagine! A worthy Best Puppy in Breed.
2 Ballantine’s Middleshott Emma
A gorgeous headed Blen baby I have admired ringside before but today was unfortunate to meet 1st, she is also very well marked with an abundance of silky coat and has one of the lushest expressions I have seen. Moved with drive and ease.

1 McFarlane’s Merryoth Maeve
15 months Tri with bags of quality, lovely soft head and exp not easily found in tricolours, but she was gorgeous. Sound constructed madam with attitude, at this point we thought the roof of the tent was about to be lifted off as it became very blustery, but she was unfazed by it all as she moved round the ring with ease.
2 Gaw’s Damarland Miami Rhapsody
Black and Tan of good temperament, pretty head and darkest of eyes, good coat of silky texture. As the wind picked up it was sometimes difficult to assess movement as coats were flying and also at times these little dogs had to fight to keep their feet on the ground. She moved round the ring freely and with ease.

1 Glen’s Sandbrae Rhapsody In Blue
Litter sister to previous class winner. She is of the same type and just as sound, lovely head and soft expression also and in beautiful condition. Great temperament as I think she could be the naughtier of the two. Handled well.
2 Armitt’s Brasingamen Deep Opal
A lovely headed Blen girl with softest of expressions, and in excellent coat and condition, however she is a little more rangier than winner and on the day I preferred the togetherness of the black and tan. Very sound exhibit who covered the ground well when moving freely round the ring.
Graduate (5, 1)
1 Rennard’s Deranmar Amelie
Very pretty compact Blen with the loveliest expression, she is well marked with good rich colour. Very well constructed throughout and sound mover. Very happy showgirl with lots of style.
2 Inglis’ Craigowl Bilberry
Another lovely Tri from this renowned kennel who had all the attributes of class winner, she really covers the ground and shows off her lovely outline when moving confidently round the ring. If a little critical she doesn't quite have the head that I prefer, but still a worthy winner.

1 Town’s Judyland Melissa at Barsac
I loved this girl as a puppy and hadn't seen her for a while, when she entered the ring I was immediately impressed and she did not disappoint me. She is very well marked with a good silky coat, she has a lovely head with darkest eyes giving that soft gentle look, good reach of neck flowing into well laid shoulders and compact body. She uses her rear hindquarters soundly and really drives on the move. She is a picture when she is standing and I could not deny her the Bitch CC. I am confident she will gain her crown easily.
2 Taylor’s Florindale Touch of Black for Kemble
A Black & Tan who could benefit from being a little leaner, pretty girl with a lovely head and darkest of eyes, she moved really well but if she loses a couple of pounds it will make all the difference as she was a little rolly on the move, still very sound.

This is an old favourite of mine and I was amazed at her youthfulness which belies her 8½ years. In full coat which was silky and gleaming she paraded round the ring like a trooper displaying her sound, free and easy movement. Lovely head with soft melting exp and not a grey hair in sight. At one with her handler, lovely exhibit.

1 Scott’s Toscam Monte Lucia
Very pretty Blen girl with large dark eyes and lush expression, she has a wealth of silky coat and although I would prefer her blenheim to be a shade richer it was still in beautiful condition. She is a very neat little lady but extremely sound and displayed her soundness when moving easily round the ring. A real toy spaniel.
2 Baillie’s Cavallino Magic Moment
More solid type of bitch to winner but still very feminine with real pretty head and eyes, well marked Blen in good coat with depth of colour. She also used the ring to her advantage when on the move, a credit to her owner.
