Dogs. Mr P Watkins
I appreciated the fact that I was able to judge outside in the well cut grass rings. The quality of the dogs was high. One or two had questionable mouths & few had the incorrect tail carriage. Hind movement was reasonably good in the majority but I was concerned at the number of dogs I found did not move straight in front. I found no fault with temperaments to my joy, must thank all the exhibitors who put their dogs down in such a lovely condition for me to go over. There were several young dogs who gave me great pleasure & shall watch their future with interest.

Bitches Mrs H Wheeler
I wish to convey to the officers and committee a special 'Thank You' for your kind hospitality. I really enjoyed judging the Cavalier bitches at your show. My Ring Steward, Mr Richard Cornaby did an excellent job, making sure everything ran smoothly, enabling me to judge the dogs without anyone being omitted. I truly appreciated his being there. I was very pleased with my final line-up of bitches and afterwards, looking at the catalogue I see that 14 of my placings (1st to 3rd) are from one line of Champion dogs. I consider this to be judging to a 'breed type'.
