I was thrilled to be invited to judge this club show & was even more delighted when I found out it was a special show for the club, being its 25th Ch show, There were some fabulous exhibits to go over & sadly only one 1st prize for each class. There was a great atmosphere & it was good to hear applause at ringside.

Bitches   Mrs L Gillhespy
My thanks to the officers and committee for inviting me to judge at an extremely well organised, friendly show. The majority of the bitches are a credit to the breed. I was able to find a good selection of pretty bitches, of very good breed type, with large, dark eyes, level backs and well set on tails. Having discussed the merits of our major winners.
My co-judge, Mrs. Wake and I were in complete agreement that the dog Ch. Keyingham Branwell should be B.I.S. Ch. Wandris Entertainer Reserve, the bitch Leogem Minuet, Best Opposite Sex, the puppy bitch Miletree Tammara BPIS and the bitch Sharonaz Melody for Drumhaye Best Veteran in Show.

Such a sound, well balanced beautifully marked blenheim with the most gorgeous head and expression. Darkest of nose pigment and pigmentation around her large, lustrous eyes. Her long, richly marked coat was in gleaming condition. Short coupled, well ribbed body with a lovely straight front and strong driving movement from behind. Good depth of forechest, excellent arched neck flowing into well laid shoulders, level topline and correctly set tail. This bitch won well under me as a minor puppy and I could not find anything to change my mind on the day. Her best is yet to come, I'm sure; it was her exuberant temperament, stylish showmanship, strong, driving movement and excellent breed type that afforded her the Res. CC. and on this performance should continue to win well for her owners.

Heavily marked tri, with rich tan markings on her eyebrows, cheeks and under her tail. Most attractive broad head, large dark eyes and long, well feathered ears. Correct amount of cushioning below her eyes. Her coat is long, silky and presented in gleaming condition. She has an excellent body, good spring of rib and well turned stifles. Her front construction is good, allowing plenty of heart room between her deep chest. Excellent topline and tail set. This bitch moves very well in profile. One that should never be overlooked. Handled extremely well, as at times, when standing, she can be a bit of a madam.
2 Claydon’s Brymarden Moon River JW
Richly marked blenheim in excellent body, coat and condition. Groomed to perfection. Lovely head, fabulous, large, dark eyes and excellent mouth. This bitch is obviously well exercised, she has good muscle tone to her hind quarters that allows her to drive strongly from behind. Occasionally she loses her topline on the move and this was the deciding factor in placing two gorgeous bitches.
