Dogs. Mrs T Homes
I enjoyed my day, and was pleased with my final line up. The perennial problem of loose sloppy fronts worried me a little. One can expect this in the puppy classes of which some of these will correct in time with exercise, maturity and musculature growth. However, for some others in the later classes no amount of exercise will improve what can only be poor construction.

Minor Puppy (17 entries 5 absent)
1 Spark’s Sharvo Hal'o The Wynd
Well broken Blenheim. Head just right at this age. Large dark eyes and nose pigment. Good neck and front assembly with nice angles all through. Moderate bone moved well keeping a level topline with correctly well set-on and carried tail.
2 Allerton’s Deeriem Dandi Man
Another well broken blen, much of the above applies, moving and showing well. Just preferred eyes of winner.
3 Jones & Rance’s Tomnil Cream of The Stars
Res Boardman’s Volney Bonanza
VHC Koster’s Harana Jamiroquai
Puppy (6, 0)
1 Allerton’s Cazarrah Tennyson for Deeriem
At 12 months this mature well broken blen commanded attention. His dark eyes, good top skull and well placed ears gave a kindly expression. He has a wealth of coat which is of good texture. He moved strongly and purposefully from behind. Just hope that he does not grow any further. BP.
2 Towse’s Miletree Elliott
Finer bone all through on this well broken tri with good rich tans. He has the makings of a good head with expressive eyes and correct ear placement. Tended to roach a little both on the move and standing, but at 9 months has time to body and muscle up.

Junior (14, 4)
1 Rix & Berry’s Ricksbury Royal Valour
Lovely head shape with dark round eyes and good pigmentation all through. He has a heavy and somewhat solidly marked jacket. He had enough broken colour to accentuate his neck. He is close coupled with good angles, a strong level topline which he kept on the move, nice bone throughout deep brisket and well ribbed up. He moved soundly in all directions just a little proud of his tail on the move which I am putting down to adolescent exuberance. In the challenge he was on his toes and showing well. I liked what I saw. Reserve CC.
2 Levy & Sedgwick’s Pascavale Alfie
Pretty head with lovely ear carriage on this well broken blen. Not so well off for coat as winner but it was of an excellent texture. Lovely outline, good neck, topline and tail carriage. Moved soundly.
3 Inglis’ Craigowl Battenburg
Res Wiggins’ Whyteplace Alonso

Yearling (14, 1)
1 Smith & Aldous’ Ch Aranel Cosmic
What an attractive dog this blen is. Full round dark lustrous eyes large open nostrils with good fill to foreface. Nicely fringed ears which were set to frame his pretty shaped head. Good neck and shoulder. Pleasing topline and tail carriage. At first I thought he would be my eventual top winner but his movement let him down today.
2 Gillhespy’s Lorphil Lyphard JW
Attractively marked blen with a soft expressive face. Good head with large leathers correct bone, nice angles. Deep chest well ribbed close coupled with firm level topline which he kept at all times moved soundly.

1 Angell’s Charwelton Tate
Good head properties, nice length of muzzle in relation to top skull. Heavily fringed and placed leathers good depth to forechest and very well ribbed. Short level back lovely bone and angles throughout. Very attractive coat markings which gets him noticed rich chestnut on pearly white with good fringing. Moved well. Another that I considered for top honours today, but he seemed to lose interest in the challenge.
2 Inglis’ Craigowl Ryton
Attractive head on this tri which I feel perhaps needs a little more time. He has very dark lustrous eyes, rich tans and well pigmented all through. He has enough white to break up his otherwise solid markings Still has a lot of puppy coat which is very full and generally detracts from his overall make and shape. He moved steadily and with style maintaining a good topline and tail carriage

Exellent pigmentation on this blen. Large eyes with soft expression good top skull well set on ears proud head carriage coming from good neck into well placed shoulders. Plenty of depth to forechest and well ribbed. Level backline and well set and carried tail. Good bone with good hind angles moved and showed very well.
2 Koster’s Dortmund Take A Chance Harana
B & T with pleasing head with dark eyes and soft expression Has an excellent spring of rib, and level topline. His gleaming coat with raven black and rich clean tan (no sootiness here) makes him an overall attractive exhibit moving fluidly.

1 Costello’s Beauella Radzinski JW
This exhibit has a lovely outline totally in balance with good head properties and the desired expression coming from dark eyes. Good ear carriage. Good reach of neck into well placed shoulders, excellent topline, correct bone with good front and hind angulation. He moved effortlessly around the ring, but when it came to the challenge he sagged and appeared tired and lacked that extra sparkle for top honours.
2 Storar’s Kayjay Edmund Spenser at Ewecote
Not so pleasing in head as the winner but with his large dark eyes and pigment, lovely neck and firm topline he presented a super outline. moving with great drive around the ring with his swishing tail. He has a well marked jacket, but sadly lacking the furnishings to finish the picture. He still impressed with his show off attitude.

What can I say about this well known blen that hasn't already been said? To add further comment to an ever growing list of accolades would be superfluous. He epitomizes the breed totally. Moving with grace and style he showed his heart out today, and like the old stager, he is a showman to the end. I couldn't look past him for the top honours today. CC, and together with my co-judge, BOB
2 Claydon’s Brymarden Montana JW
Similarly marked blen to the winner lovely head with flat top skull correct stop and gentle foreface large dark eyes creating that desired expression. Good neck and topline moved effortlessly around the ring, with the disposition of the happy showman he is.

I would like to extend my thanks to Boston Committee for giving me the opportunity, which I consider an honour to judge at my home towns first championship show. I was in agreement with my co-judge to award BOB to the dog, that I had the privilege to award his 3rd CC in 2004, but thought it a shame that the dog puppy could not stay to represent the breed.
Minor Puppy (29 entries 6 absent)
1 Boardman’s Volney Shiraz
Blen baby headed a strong class. Well Broken silky coat, nothing exaggerated about this little one, liked her well balanced make and shape. Pretty head with the coveted lozenge. Nice round dark eyes and good nose pigment, good forechest for a young puppy giving a correct front and good lay of shoulder. Good rear angulation. Moved well around the ring.
2 Waddington’s Spindlepoint Babich
Richly marked, not quite the head of 1 being a little more refined, but given her age, hopefully that will come with maturity. Lovely body shape, being well proportioned. Moved well.
3 Lewis’ Tomnil Creme Evita with Daraste
Res Koster’s Harana Sarah Vaughn
VHC Inglis’ Craigowl Tiger Lily
Puppy (21, 2)
1 Towse’s Miletree Jenifer
Beautifully marked Tricolour, with rich tan in the right places, pretty head, nice eye good neck and shoulder placement, carrying a level topline, well turned stifles. Moved well in the class, pleased to award her BP but gave way to dog in challenge for BPIB as movement was more erratic.
2 Smith & Aldous’ Aranel Scrumptious
Delightful Blen, well marked, lovely for size, with a gleaming long silky coat, who I am sure will change places many times with 1.

Blen bitch. Straight from the top draw, and I am sure one who will trouble the best in the near future. Rich coloured, with good clarity. Pretty head, nice face markings, lovely large round dark eyes, good neck and shoulder placement, carrying a level topline standing and on the move. Good rear angulation, moving out with plenty of drive. In strong contention for top honours.
2 Costello’s Beauella Nine To Five
Another quality Blen bitch, not quite the finish of 1, but I am sure that will come in time. Nice size, well bodied, good spring of rib, good forechest and strong well muscled rear. Moved well.

Exuberant Blen not yet in full bloom, but another who should have a bright future. Very pretty, beautiful large dark expressive eyes, framed by long ear feathers, good neck and shoulders flowing into a nicely made body, good tailset, very happy showgirl.
2 Goodgame’s Glynco Candy Girl
A real sweetie, very unfortunate to meet 1 in this class. Lots to like about her, not quite as exuberant, pretty head with nice large dark eyes, good body shape, coat in good condition. Moved well.

Attractively marked shapely Tricolour, pretty head framed by beautiful long ears, nice forechest, good neck and shoulders, keeping a level topline, good tail set and carriage. Standing four square giving her a beautiful outline in profile. Moved well, considered for top honours, and should have a bright future.
2 Whitfield’s Alberica Focus On Red
Close decision between 1. Lovely Ruby bitch, nice size. Very pretty although would just like to see a little more filling, but this does not detract from her overall quality. Large dark eyes, and good nose pigment, nice richly coloured coat. Moved well covering the ground with ease.

1 Waters’ Maibee Gentle Touch
Heading one of the strongest classes of the day. Striking richly marked effervescent Blen bitch of ideal size, with the prettiest of heads framed by well set ears with plenty of feathering, with just the right length of muzzle and tapering, huge dark round eyes giving such a soft melting expression, good neck flowing into well laid shoulders, good rear angulation. Moved with style. Close decision between her and my CC winner. I am sure she'll have a very bright future. Res. CC
2 Paterson’s Phrenchy Pollyanna
Shame to meet 1 in this class. Very stylish Blen of quality with many of the same attributes as 1. Pretty head framed by well feathered ears, beautiful large dark round eyes which one expects from this kennel, giving a beautiful soulful expression. I'm sure her day will come.

Much has already been said about this young lady, and I can see why. A real eye catcher, although I would prefer her just a size smaller, but her immense quality cannot be denied, and on closer inspection a delight to go over, with flowing lines everything just fits into place. Pretty head with large dark round eyes, black nose pigment and her long richly marked silky coat which is presented to perfection completes the picture. Pleased to award her CC
2 Fox-Shone’s Ch Pamedna Touch of Fan-TC JW
Much has also been said about this text book marked Tri bitch of which I can add little. Her clarity of coat colour makes a very impressive picture, which is no easy task in this colour. Very pretty girl with large dark round eyes. Lovely neck and shoulder placement, keeping a good topline and moving well. A very worthy Champion and not hard to see why such accolades have been bestowed on her.
