Dogs. Mrs A Jones
My thanks to the Committee for inviting me to judge their Championship show and for their excellent hospitality. My thanks also to my two very efficient stewards. My apologies also for the delay in providing this critique!
I thoroughly enjoyed my day, the venue was excellent with plenty of natural light and lots of room for the dogs to show off their paces. The quality of the dogs was excellent which made choices difficult in some classes as I was splitting hairs at times when making my decisions.

Blenheim dog, expertly handled by his young handler. Well made throughout and moved well with plenty of drive from behind
2 McFarlane’s Merryoth Monteith

Limit (5, 0)
1 Pagan's Kimark Coming Home to Sorata
Ruby dog, dark round eyes with the darkest of eye rims giving a really soft expression difficult I think to obtain in this colour. Good fore-chest and well angulated throughout and moved very well.
2 Shone's Cobalatino Candyman
Black/Tan dog with rich tan markings, pleasing head and expression. Profuse coat of good quality which tended to make him look a little unbalanced. 1 just had the edge in movement in this class.

1 Claydon's Brymarden Montana JW
Blenheim dog with classic head – nothing overdone in anyway. Dark round eyes with the darkest of eye rims, jet black nose and correctly set ears all giving the desired softest of expression. Good length of neck and well laid back shoulders, level top-line that he maintained at all times. Well angulated rear which he used with good effect when going round the ring. Attentive and a first class showman for his owner. It was with pleasure that I awarded him the CC and BIS.
2 Lymer & Scheidt’s Lymrey Hi Command JW
Blenheim dog, out of a different mould than 1 but nevertheless a quality dog. Dark round eye and pleasing head. Good neck and well angulated throughout. Just a little longer cast than 1. Profuse coat that was well presented. A little erratic at times when moving but settled eventually. Res CC

Richly marked Blenheim baby sired I note by my CC winner. Lovely head and expression, darkest of eyes and excellent ear set. Good length of neck and good front. Level top-line which she maintained at all times and well set tail. Moved around the ring with plenty of drive for one so young. Presented a pretty outline when standing and I loved her extrovert personality. I shall watch her progress with interest. BPIS

Blenheim who I have admired previously from ringside and I wasn’t disappointed when going over her. Mature young lady in full coat of excellent quality. Lovely head and dark round eyes framed by lovely long ear feathering giving the softest of expression. Good fore chest and well angulated throughout, good level top-line. Unfortunately in the challenge her front movement was let down by her exuberance.

For me an ideal size toy spaniel. Prettiest of heads and expression, good front and rear angulation and consequently moved well. Not quite the finish of coat as 1.
