Dogs. Mr H Ogden
120 dogs, 26 absent, a good turnout in the mud & I marvelled at your good humour & presentation. My co-judge & I were in ready agreement on joint decisions, admiring each other’s choices. Too many males were long & narrow instead of compact & coupled up with toy spaniels in the minority.

1 Bubb’s Ch Wandris Entertainer JW
Have obviously seen this blen in groups so interesting to compare him against his peers. While my personal preference would be for him to be a tad smaller he is not coarse in any way, faultless construction, beautifully balanced, classic head, sound enough to outmove the opposition, presented in great coat, accomplished showman, hard condition that for me gave him the edge over the gorgeous bitch. CC & BOB.
2 Rix & Berry’s Ricksbury Royal Escape
Such lovely type & balance, good skull, long ears, level, compact. Good bone & feet, moves out well, beautifully turned out in good coat. Prefer a little more neck. Rated him 4th best male.

Ruby of rare style, fabulous head, good skull & ears, Ievel, good richly coloured coat, Ievel, nicely coupled. Appeared cow-hocked but decided this was more unruly coat than bone. A wholecolour worth a title.
2 Koster’s Dortmund Take A Chance Harana
B/T, also worth a title. So close up. Happy, balanced dog, excellent head & eye, clean front, fabulous driving rear. Not quite as short coupled but close decision.

Bitches Ms M Kendrick
Firstly thank you to the Windsor Committee for allowing me to judge Cavalier Bitches. It was indeed an honour and a great privilege. Thank you also to my ring steward for organising me and for those kind words.
The weather played its part with the showground looking more like muddy Glastonbury. The downside having to use small rings, with fairly big classes Cavaliers have played a very important part in my life for 27 yrs and I love the breed very much.
But I do wonder about the strength in depth sadly lacking in some of the classes.

Best Puppy
Levy & Sedgwick's Pascavale Clarissa

Minor Puppy (30 Entries 6 Absent) This was a difficult class to judge given the conditions. I like to try and give puppies all my time and patience when judging especially on the table. However, there was not sufficient room for the puppies to move. Also the aircraft going over head and at very frequent intervals didn’t help the cause.
1 Tarabad’s Khatibi Edie Does It
She did today! Delightful tri colour person of six months. So well broken in her coat with rich tans. She didn’t mind the conditions one bit. I loved her head so in proportion, and such a lovely cobby body and a super size. Moved with lots of style. I wish her well, as she has a delightful outlook on life.
2 Stevens & Moffat’s Milkeyn Minnie Pearl
Lovely blenheim baby who did not also disappoint on the table Beautiful headed puppy with big appealing eyes. Her body fits so well together. She moved with great aplomb and was also not fazed by the conditions one bit. Hopefully one who must be considered for the future?
3 Powell’s Cloudcroft Dixie Chick
Res Hogan’s Ricksbury Royal Promise for Stavonga
VHC Rennard’s Deranmar Francesca
Puppy (18, 4) Found this an extremely difficult class with type and quality sadly missing! The winners though had it all in abundance. The first five will change places in the future.
1 Waddington’s Spindlepoint Babich
Lovely Blenheim bitch that oozed quality and breed type. Super head and body moved extremely well. Very happy person!
2 Towse’s Miletree Beatrice
Such a dear puppy that again has the breed type and movement we are striving for and who could change places any day with the first bitch. She is a lovely puppy as many are from this kennel and should also have a bright future.
3 Flynn’s Linjato Soul Diva
Res Rhodes’ Crystaldawn First Kiss with Calonlan
VHC Cunningham’s Rivermoor Lady Lauretta
Junior (19, 5) This Class was also very varied in type and quality I’m afraid
1 Smith & Aldous’ Aranel Scrumptious
Wow a simply super bitch! This kennel is totally new to me and I am very envious of their lovely cavaliers. Well done. Beautiful blenheim bitch so perfectly presented. Lovely make and shape. On seeing a special bitch or dog coming into the ring. It gladdens your heart and totally uplifts you, really makes your day. I’m just in awe of such dogs - this was one such bitch. Everything flows from her typy head with cushioning and good eyes to her neck shoulders, spring of rib and depth in chest and her movement. Seriously considered for the reserve ticket and I’m sure her day will come! Thank you for giving me the privilege of judging your bitches.
2 Boardman’s Volney Shiraz
Another likeable Blenheim who needs to mature. Not so forward as the winner and her coat will come. She is very sound on going over and noted her litter sister had reserve place in the same class.

1 Boundy’s Rubyfield Fiddlesticks
This little person was another one I wanted to smuggle into my bag and take home with me! Very pretty black and tan bitch that just looks at you and says I’m gorgeous and I have it all! She certainly has! Beautiful clean shiny black coat with rich tans. Going over her was a pleasure everything fits where it should. Such a pretty head, decent neck and spring of rib, short coupled body, moved very well keeping her top line. Put down to perfection. I also considered her for the ticket, but time is on her side. She is only 20 months and I will be extremely disappointed if she does not have a very bright future indeed!
2 Inglis’ Craigowl Norah Batty
Beautiful tri colour bitch, well broken coat and a lovely head, followed by a super make and shape. She is another quality bitch who should do well.

1 Levy & Sedgwick’s Pascavale Clarissa
Another wow - thank you so much! Such a beautiful blenheim bitch, who was 12 months on the second day of the show, so qualified for best puppy in breed over my second in this class who won puppy. What can I say she is also an up and coming star! Lovely quality blenheim bitch again everything in the right place she has such a stunning head with huge dark eyes , correct ear placement. Lovely body shape. She also moved with such style. Clarissa took the Best Puppy in Breed award. Well Done

Yet another wow! What a stunning bitch, won this class with some ease! A great credit to her breeders what a thrill to have bred two such fabulous bitches. I wish you much luck for the future. Fabulous headed blenheim bitch, head and eyes to die for. Lovely neck and shoulder, great body and super angulation giving lots of drive in her movement. Seriously considered for the CC and as I understand it, has just made up into a champion and am not surprised in the slightest!! A most beautiful breathtaking bitch. Awarded her Reserve CC
2 Jones & Rance’s Wightisle Moonbeam between Droleus

1 Waters & Robins’ Ch Maibee Gentle Touch
She came I saw she conquered! Lovely, lovely bitch. I’m running out of superlatives. Gentle Touch epitomises the breed standard in any variable. She has a lovely head with soft gentle expression; beautiful dark eyes . Good neck, excellent shoulder placement. Lovely cobby body, good spring of ribs, well angulated hindquarters with hocks well let down. Super size, moves like dream. She is the model Cavalier we should strive to attain! Is at one with her handler and I adored her. I couldn’t resist giving her the CC today. Very well done!
