I liked this dog when he was a puppy. I was not disappointed when I went over him, lovely head, with large, dark, round expressive eyes and super pigment. He is so elegant and well balanced, lovely reach of neck, well placed shoulders, not too long in loin, well turned stifles neat rear pasterns giving him that desired driving movement. He is sound in movement viewed from any direction. He has a beautiful, straight silky coat which was in excellent condition. He won this class easily. I was later delighted to give him his first CC.

Junior Handling - Judge: Leila Tarabad
Thank you to the Committee for asking me to take over as judge of the handling classes. I am so pleased this Club has decided to schedule these classes to encourage the younger exhibitors in our breed. I do hope more of the Breed clubs might follow suit and may even consider an Adult handling class or two!
6 - 11 years
1st Danya Thorn This young lady certainly looked the part, wearing a smart suit to compliment her B/T dog and with hair tied neatly back. She put in a very smart performance although she must remember never to let go of the lead when the dog is on the table, instead gather it neatly in your hand. She completed her patterns correctly but did forget the golden rule of never getting between the dog and judge after completing the triangle. Had such a wonderful rapport with her dog who did everything she asked of him and was obviously enjoying the class. Overall a very promising handler who, with a bit more practice will do very well.
2nd Chloe Kilcoyne Another good young handler who's dog was unfortunately not the most cooperative of Cavaliers!! Completed the patterns correctly and neatly, moving her dog at the correct speed. Very polite handler who stayed calm and collected even when her young dog was being naughty. Just needs to polish up her performance.
12 - 16 years
1st Lucinda Rhodes I loved the style of this young handler, quiet, efficient and polite as well as having a great partnership with her dog. She completed everything I asked of her correctly, table work was perfect as were the patterns I asked for. My only criticism is that after moving she stood her dog a bit to close to me, the dog should be stood 3 paces away from the judge. Other than that I could find nothing to fault this performance. Might I suggest slightly smarter attire for the future to enhance the overall picture.
2nd Ffion Worthington Very smartly dressed handler showing a young dog that was a bit of a handful! Her performance would have been fine for the breed ring but she just needs to learn a few of the specific rules needed for handling classes. Completed the patterns correctly allowing me to see the dog move correctly from all angles. With a bit of practice she could be very successful.
17 - 24 years
1st Alex Hughes These twin sisters were very hard to split both giving very similar performances. Leads were held neatly at all times and both dogs seemed to be enjoying the class. Both were dressed sensibly so as not to obstruct the view of the dog. They moved their dogs at the correct pace keeping their attention throughout the class.
2nd Sarah Hughes
