Dogs Mrs Sue Newnes (Penquite)
I would like to thank the Cavalier club for a very enjoyable day, my two stewards for doing such a sterling job and the exhibitors who managed to brave the weather and present their dogs in such clean condition. I feel that the quality of the bitches was better than the dogs today. Two things need mentioning. Eyes and tails. Many exhibits had large round eyes but lacked the depth of pigment to give the desired dark eye. This spoilt many an expression. I was also quite surprised at the tail problem that seems to have crept in. It does spoil an otherwise lovely outline when going round.
