Caught my eye the minute he entered the ring, very attractive, well broken tri colour. In super coat and condition, correct make and shape. Moved as if he owned the ring, pleased to later award him BDP and with my co-judge awarded Best Puppy in Show. Should have an excellent career ahead.

Blenheim with desired lozenge. Another quality puppy, lovely head, well balanced throughout. Showed with drive, keeping level topline at all times.

Striking blenheim, pleasing head, nice dark eye, with softest of expressions. Rich colour with desired lozenge. Good reach of neck leading into well placed shoulders, level topline, with a nice turn of stifle. Showed with enthusiasm keeping level topline at all times.
2 Armitt's Cobaltino Otis Reading
Handsome black and tan in super coat, nice shape, balanced on the move, regaining his composure after being upset in the ring. Should do well in the future.

The happiest of dispositions used the ring as if he owned it, immaculately turned out. Pleased to award him the Reserve CC.

I would like to thank the committee of the South & West Wales Cavalier King Charles Spaniel Club for inviting me to judge at their Championship show, my first at this level. I consider it a great honour to judge at a Breed club show, their hospitality was second to none and I was very well looked after, also my ring stewards made everything so easy for me. I would also like to thank all the exhibitors for such a nice entry and the way they accepted my decisions with grace. It was a pleasure to judge alongside my Co-Judge and friend Mary Drewett, we both agreed on CH Wandris Entertainer for Best in Show on his overall quality, Best Puppy, also the dog was Craigowl Coaster, Clentview Chanel at Jordanic was BOS & Reserve BIS and the bitch Sharonaz Melody for Drumhaye was Best Veteran.

Blenhein of nearly 11 years who defies her age, correct bite still retaining all her dentures, good nose pigment and darkest of large round eyes. Classic head shape not overdone in any way, good length of leathers with plenty of feathering, good length of neck flowing into well laid shoulders, just the right amount of rib and good length of loin, well set-on tail, well broken coat markings. On the move she flowed around the ring keeping an excellent topline and head carriage, moved true coming and going. One I have admired and judged before and she never let me down today, a credit to her breeder/owner. Best Veteran in Show

B&T of 7 Years. Another one who has caught my eye in the past, correct bite, good nose pigment, large round dark eyes. Skull in good proportion, well set-on ears with good length, good length of neck and well laid shoulder, excellent spring of rib and correct length of loin, good tail-set. moved very well keeping a good topline and tail carriage. Jet black coat with vivid tans, thoroughly enjoyed her day and well deserved her placing.

Ruby of 6½ months. Good bite and jet black nose pigment, correct stop, darkest of large round dark eyes, lovely skull shape with plenty of width between ears, good ear set and excellent length of neck. Well laid shoulders and correct amount of rib and loin, good tail-set. Moved very well keeping an excellent topline, when standing she tended to overstretch herself at times putting her lovely shape out of sync. Just the right amount of bone, coat in excellent order with a beautiful rich ruby red colour, one to look out for. Reserve BPIS

Blenheim of 9 months. Slightly larger than my ideal. Correct bite, good nose pigment and large round dark eyes, well filled muzzle and correct head shape with nice blaze. Well set ears of a good length. Correct length of neck and well laid shoulders, excellent spring of rib & correct length of loin, all in proportion, good tail-set. Moved correctly with plenty of drive from behind. Coat in excellent condition with richest of tans, well off for bone.

Tri-Colour of 11 months. Correct bite, excellent nose pigment, good fill to muzzle and cheek bones, large round dark eyes, symetrical markings to head and almost flat between well set ears. Good length of neck and well laid shoulders, good spring of rib and good length of loin, all in proportion, good tail set. Moved very well when she settled, holding a good topline, moved better coming and going. Coat in excellent condition and equal amount of blacks & whites. Good bone and well balanced.

Tri-Colour of 11 Months. Very Similar to class winner, correct bite, excellent nose pigment, dark eyes, well off for neck and well laid shoulders, good rib and correct length of loin, correct tail-set and nice angle to croup. Moved very well holding a good topline and tail-set at all times. Coat in excellent condition, nice bright tans. Another one I have watched on several occasions but today she was a little lack-lustre.

Correct bite, nose pigment slightly off, nice large round dark eyes, well filled muzzle with good cushioning under eyes, nice blaze on top of skull, correct earset and leathers of correct length. Good length of neck flowing into well laid shoulders, well off for rib and correct length of loin, excellent tail-set and pleasing angle of croup. Looked impressive on the move holding herself together at all times, nicely balanced and good bone, coat in excellent order and well broken markings.

Blenheim of 13 months. Correct bite, good nose pigment, slightly shorter in muzzle than my ideal, well filled skull with plenty of width between ears, good length to well set-on leathers. Good length of neck & well laid shoulders, well sprung rib and good length of loin, correct tail-set. Carried herself correctly on the move holding a good topline and tail carriage. Well broken coat in excellent order and excellent tans. Nicely balanced and well off for bone.

Good length of neck and well laid shoulders, rib & loin all in proportion, good tail set with correct angle of croup. Looked impressive on the move holding a level topline and good tail carriage. Well broken coat in excellent order, just the right amount of bone and a very balanced little girl, just the size I like, considered strongly in the challenge.

Blenheim of 19 Months. Correct bite, good nose pigment, slightly longer and more tapered in muzzle than 1, large round dark eyes, pleasing skull shape with plenty of width between ears, plenty of length to well fill leathers. Good length of neck and well laid shoulders, good rib & length of loin, good tail set. Looked good on the move holding herself together at all times, well broken coat in excellent condition, well off for bone, very close up to 1, just preffered the overall picture of the class winners head.

Looked good on the move holding her topline and tail carriage correctly. Coat in excellent condition, nice and straight with a silky texture, excellent tans. Nicely balanced but would like to see a lttle more of her.

Correct bite, good nose pigment, good fill to well-tapered muzzle, would like a slightly darker eye, but they are nice and round & large, good skull shape with plenty of room between ears, lots of length & fill to leathers. Good length of neck, well laid shoulders, excellent spring of rib and length of loin. Moved well keeping a good topline and tail carriage. Coat in excellent condition, groomed to perfection although I prefer the markings a little more broken up.

Blenheim of 2 Years. Correct bite, good nose pigment, lots of filling to muzzle and under eyes, would like to see a more femanine head, plent of length to well set ears. Moderate neck and very slightly upright in shoulder. Moved OK, holding a good tail carriage. Well broken coat in excellent condition and plenty of bone.

Coat in excellent order and well groomed.

Coat in excellent condition, adequate amount of bone, Easy winner of this class.
2 Marshall & Barnett's Oxencombe Spirit of the Glen
Correct bite, good nose pigment, dark eyes, facial markings are a little excessive around muzzle, would prefer to see a blaze, good skull shape, almost flat between ears. Good length of neck and lay of shoulder, just the right amount of rib and length of loin, well set tail. Would like too see a more free-flowing movement, coat in excellent condition, just a fraction more bone would be my ideal.
Special Graduate - Blenheim (8, 3)  
1 Towse's Miletree Nella Fantercia
Correct bite, good nose pigment, large round dark eyes, good cushioning of muzzle & under eyes, wide blaze on skull, good length of leathers with full feathering. Correct length of neck, well laid shoulders, good spring of rib and length of loin, tail set correct. Looked impressive on the move holding an excellent topline and tail carriage. Heavier marked coat than my ideal but was in excellent condition. Balanced with good amount of bone. Easy winner of this class.
2 O'Connor's Abercree Lucetta
Correct bite, good nose pigment, plenty of width between ears, moderate neck, would prefer a slightly better lay of shoulder, excellent spring of rib and good length of loin, correct tail set. Adequate movement, held her tail correctly. Would like the markings to be a little more even but was in excellent condition, slightly larger than my ideal, well off for bone.

Good length of neck and well laid shoulders, excellent spring of rib and good length to loin, all in proportion, correct angulation of croup and well set tail. Moved very freely holding an excellent topline and tail carriage, plenty of drive. Slightly heavier marked coat in excellent condition, love her angulation, a very nicely balanced little girl.
2 Pagan's Sorata Sophie Tucker
Ruby of 2½ years. Correct bite, excellent nose pigment, large round dark eyes, good length of muzzle with just the right amount of fill, classic shaped skull with plenty of room between ears which are of a good length. Correct length of neck and well laid shoulders, good spring of rib and correct length of loin, all in proportion, tail-set correct. Another one who moved extremely well holding a good topline & tail carriage. Coat in excellent condition but would prefer a little more feathering especially around the rear end. Close decision between these two, just preferring the winner on movement.

Good crest of neck of correct length and well laid shoulders, excellent spring of rib, good length of loin and correct angulation of croup, all in proportion, well set-on tail. Moved very well holding a very good topline and tail carriage, free flowing action. Coat in excellent condition although I would prefer a slightly silkier feel, very nicely angulated with just the right amount of bone. RCC

Blenheim of 2¾ years. Correct bite, good nose pigment, correct length of muzzle with just the right fill, large round dark eyes, slightly softer expression than 1, plenty of space between well-set ears. Lots of length to leathers with bags of feathering. Good length of neck, which flows into well laid shoulders very nicely, good spring of rib and correct length of loin, good tail set. Another one who moves with ease, holding a very good topline & tail carriage. Coat in good condition with lots of feathering, just the right amount of bone, close decision between the two girls, just preferred the overall outline of the class winner.

Correct bite, good nose pigment, large round dark eyes although one eye shows a little amount of white, well filled muzzle of correct length, excellent stop, headshape not overdone in any way, lots of space between well set ears, long leathers with plenty of feathering, excellent length of neck flowing into an excellent well laid shoulder, correct length to loin and correct angulation to croup, good tail set, excellent depth to brisket. Moved with a good free action, holding a perfect topline and correct tail carriage, really enjoying herself to her advantage. Coat in excellent condition with a very nice silky texture, good amount of feathering in all the right places, just the right amount of bone, very pleasing and had no hesitation in awarding her the top honour. Ruby of 4 Years. Correct bite, good nose pigment, very appealing large round dark eye, good fill to muzzle and around cheekbones, correct depth of stop, plenty of space between well set ears, good length to leathers. Nicely arched neck of a good length, just the right amount of rib, correct length of loin, all in proportion, good tail set. Another one who moved very well, good topline and tail carriage. Nice rich colour to coat with a soft silky feel. When standing she occasionally tucked her back legs in which spoilt the overall outline at times, never-the-less another one out of the top drawer.
