Dogs. Mr S R Goodwin
I would like to thank the Officers and Committee for inviting me to judge. My Stewards Mr & Mrs Hurst were very efficient and kept things running smoothly. It is four years since I last judged dogs and the quality then was much higher than today. I was really struggling to find the round, large, dark eyes which gives the cavalier the true expression. My main winners all had lovely eyes.

1 McInally’s Maibee Moonstone Naf Taf
Blen 8 month old with a good shape, fluent on the move, nice head and eyes, good reach of neck, good body, excellent bone, level topline, really went well, it was clear to see he totally adores his handler.
2  Fox-Shone’s Miskhill Miami avec Pamedna
Blen 8 month old, another with a good shape, lovely outline, moved well, pleasing head, coat coming through and of correct texture. Presented in lovely condition. Close decision. I just preferred the substance of the winner.
3  Barker’s Kaishmar Carlos

Puppy (13, 1)
1 Salisbury’s Clopsville Rico Chico
Blen with masculine head, large dark eyes giving a melting expression. Very good reach of neck, lovely coat with the correct texture, he just flows around the ring with excellent driving movement. Good bone and substance, excellent tail set, very good topline. Pleased to award him the Reserve C.C. With my co judge Mr D Jenkins we agreed that the dog should be awarded Best Puppy in Breed.
2 Tarabad’s Khatibi Juan For The Road
Blen 11 month old with a soft gentle expression, nice outline and shape, moving well. Could do well when he gets his coat.
3 Dunhill’s Fantasa Itz Charles

Tri soft gentle expression with dark eyes and good pigmentation, rich chestnut colour, short coupled, moved well. Would prefer a larger eye.
2 Pagan’s Russmic Reggae Music at Sorata
B/T with excellent body, good head and eyes, but sadly today just would not co-operate with his handler otherwise I thought this would have been my class winner.
3 Firth’s Anberan Hot Brambleberry at Firnick
B/T, nice head and expression, short coupled and moving well. Carrying slightly too much weight which spoilt his outline.
Res Finney’s Anberan Pumpkin Spice at Skylands
VHC Withheld
Yearling (10, 1)
1 Biggs’ Kellorian Head Over Heels JW
Blen well constructed with good spring of rib, pleasing expression, good pigment, moved confidently which won him this class. He tends to lose his topline when standing. Presented in sparkling condition and I short listed him in my final four.
2 Hughes’ Loranka's Just Like Heaven
Blen with a lovely head, dark eyes and black pigment. I thought he would have been my winner but I prefer the size of eye on 1st. He is a lovely size and was put down to perfection. This exhibitor presents her dogs in excellent condition.
3 Fry & Jackson’s Amantra Stagehand
Blen good shape and lovely rich chestnut colour, good angulation with large round eyes, just needs his coat to complete the picture.

1 Wiggins’ Whyteplace Alonso
Blen with masculine head. I feel this dog scores in outline and has an outstanding topline with good tail carriage. Moved well in both directions and shown in lovely condition. I short listed him in my final four but I just wish he had a slightly darker eye.
Post Graduate (10, 2)

2 Dix’s Beewye Millies Red Robin
Ruby of excellent colour with pleasing head and nice dark eyes. My first impression of him was that he may be slightly over weight but on going over him I found him just right. He was put down in excellent condition but he makes his handler work hard all the way.
3 Hunter’s Spennithorne Justin Thyme ShCM
Nice head, good angulation and topline, good tail carriage.
Res Hughes’ Loranka's Stardom
VHC Walton’s Underknoll Reality JW
Open (5, 2)
1 Jones’ Ch Timsar Mister Moonlighter
Blen with the most outstanding head I have had the privilege to judge, for me it is masculine without being in any way feminine. He has the darkest of eyes which gave a lovely, soft, gentle expression. Excellent reach of neck, outstanding bone and substance. He can pace if not taken at the right speed, but when I asked the handler to move him again he flowed around the ring and has a good topline with a very good tailset. It was my great pleasure to award him another CC.
2 Hughes’ Ch Loranka's Enchanting JW
Tri of good quality, lovely, soft and generous head. Moved well .In my opinion he lacks animation, I feel this is what held this dog back for so long before gaining his crown. Shown in sparkling condition as were all from this kennel.
3 Matsumoto’s JKC Ch Volney Magic CD
Another with a good head, good rich chestnut, moved well, just carrying a little too much weight which tended to spoil his outline. Such a different type from the dogs placed above him.
