Best Puppy Attwood’s Clentview Rude Boy

Veteran (9 Entries)
1st Inglis’ Ch Craigowl Billy Elliot
Almost 8 and only his teeth giving way to the passage of time – his owner told me they were in her pocket! Still very much a star – so eyecatching the minute he strides out round the ring, beautiful free flowing movement with a topline that could carry your best tea service. Jet black coat gleaming in the sunshine. A worthy winner.
2nd Gow’s Lyncraig Daydream JW ShCM
Blenheim boy of 9 years with kind gentle head with dark eyes. Another with a good topline and front construction who moved soundly. Not the quality of coat and presence of the winner.
3rd Johnston’s Clockpelters The Pretender
Minor Puppy (10)
1st Attwood’s Clentview Rude Boy
Blenheim baby of just 6 months who stole my eye as he marched into the ring, so extrovert. Gentlest of heads with correct top skull shape, ears set on high and used to advantage. Dark eye and pigment. Good reach of neck, lovely topline, he moved with drive. I am sure he has a promising future. Best Puppy Dog
2nd Rix & Berry’s Ricksbury Royal Astronomer (NAF)
7 months – another real baby with lovely outline, excelling in topline, so sound in front and behind, he moved well. Kind masculine head with dark eye and pigment. Would prefer to see less ticking the in white.
3rd Sansom’s Byermoor Queen’s Flite
Puppy (17)
1st Hazeltine’s Juzandia John Be Goode
Well broken blenheim still suitably immature at 11 months. Very gentle in head with large, dark eyes and good pigment. So sound on the move with excellent drive behind. I don’t envy the presentation that is going to be required with his profuse coat!
2nd Wilkinson’s Crillmere High Jack
Heavily marked tricolour boy of 11 months. Gentle, masculine head, would prefer a bigger eye. Excelling in neck and topline, a real mover with super hindquarters.
3rd Rayner’s Trirayne Kasheera
Junior (13)
1st Town’s Poundroll Monte Carlo at Barsac
14 months old, well broken tricolour with richest of tan. I glimpsed this boy as a promising baby and he continues to show improvement. Will be slow to mature but so elegant, good reach of neck, shoulder placement and beautiful free flowing movement in front & behind.
2nd Hughes’ Loranka’s Moment In Time
12 months old tricolour dog, quite mature in head compared to my winner with kind, dark eye and gentle expression. Excellent topline and front construction. White of coat spoiled by ticking.
3rd Baillie’s Silkies Odanodan at Fyrnrose
Yearling (4)
1st Towse’s Miletree Constellation
Certainly a star and I was thrilled to award him his third CC today. So handsome, all male with a kind, generous head, large dark eyes, full pigment and biggest of black noses – just kissable! Excelling in neck and front construction, deep rib cage with plenty of heart room. He kept his topline on the move with perfect tail set & carriage. Richest of chestnut markings on pearly background, put down in tip top condition. Dog CC
2nd Gaskell’s Jeilohn Coinneach
Well broken tricolour with rich, bright tan. Gentle head with dark eye and good pigment. Excellent reach of neck and good shoulder placement. Slightly longer over the loin than the winner but a quality dog.
3rd Koster’s Harana Dynamic
Novice (13) A lovely quality Novice class headed by 3 rather immature boys with lots of promise.
1st Town’s Poundroll Monte Carlo at Barsac
See Junior
2nd Ireland’s Charnell Monterey
Blenheim boy with kind gentle head, warm dark eyes and excellent pigment. Good reach of neck and shoulders, he moved true in front and behind but lacked a little in enthusiasm! Needs to body up to fulfil his promise.
3rd Rennard’s Verheyen Teddy
Graduate (16)
1st Lymer & Scheidt’s Lymrey Hi Altitude
Should have been named Hi Attitude – so determined on the move, projecting his neck forward. Blenheim dog of lovely cobby shape with delicious all masculine head, flat top to skull with ears set on high. In beautiful coat and presented well.
2nd Boyd’s Wandris Comedian at Airlie JW
Well broken blenheim with dark eye and with lovely large jet black nose. A good, honest dog of sound construction, still maturing in head.
3rd Hughes’ Kaishmar Kavanagh Loranka
Post Graduate (7) A super class, my 1st and 2nd were both heavily marked blenheims with masculine heads, each with dark eyes, full pigment and black noses. Both had good reach of neck and correct shoulder placement.
1st Mangham’s Maibee Perfect Touch of Charnavale JW
So gentle in head with soft expression. A quality dog who just didn’t sell himself in the Challenge!
2nd Inglis’ Chantismere Mister Sandman of Craigowl
Another top quality dog slightly longer over the loin than my winner.
3rd Boyd’s Tusculana Roberto at Airlie
Limit (12)
1st Carter’s Cobbets Dizzy Rascal JW
Another handsome blenheim, so gentle in head, fully cushioned in muzzle with warm melting eyes and good pigment. Good neck and shoulders, he moves with drive. This boy showed so much promise as a Junior and is going through a bored phase at the moment – so disappointing!
2nd Waters’ Maibee Time After Time
Slightly more heavily marked blenheim than my winner. This little man was so much happier standing than on the move, however very sound. Another from this kennel with such a soft gentle head.
3rd Finney’s Anberan Pumpkin Spice at Sylklands
Special Open Black & Tan (4)
1st Gamble’s Loranka’s Stardom
This black & tan boy of ideal size was presented in full coat in super condition, positively gleaming raven black with richest of tan and so elegant. Kind gentle head with plenty of cushioning, lovely dark eye. Correct shoulder placement, lovely deep rib, short over the loin, he moved with drive. RCC
2nd Rogerson’s Rabymar Untouchable
Another quality black & tan. Generous in head with dark eyes, a little shorter in muzzle than 1. Good front construction and moved well but fell away at croup.
3rd Oakley’s Brasingamen The Celt
Special Open Ruby (6) Hotly contested class and headed by two up to size handsome men
1st Hill & Webber’s Montcolly Bowie
Although a little long over the loin this ruby boy won this class with his kind gentle head framed by beautiful ears, he oozes glamour, was beautifully presented and moved today better than I had seen him before.
2nd Boardman’s Cinderlace Mulligatawny by Volney JW
Quality ruby boy excelling in topline with good front construction. I just preferred the softer expression of my winner.
3rd Fisk’s Rebhann Bo Diddley
Special Open Blenheim (6)
1st Wiggins’ Whyteplace Alonso
So richly marked blenheim with such a clean outline standing and so sound on the move. Shown today in peak condition and beautifully presented. This dog is from the "top drawer" – I only wish he would look at me and say "pick me".
2nd Dixon’s Ladash Comet at Janazca
Well broken blenheim, not in the league of 1 but with good topline and excellent hind angulation. He moved better in front than behind.
3rd Willey & Siddle’s Penemma Pick Pocket
Special Open Tricolour (4)
1st Hurst & Wake’s Llustant Paper Back Writer
Well broken tricolour so inappropriately named – he would never have time to write a book! I am sure his expert handler’s patience is tried to the limit. Kindest of gentle heads, fully cushioned muzzle with dark eyes who obviously needs a five mile hike to settle on the move. Given the time to settle he had a super outline and moved with drive!
2nd Hughes’ Loranka’s Moment In Time
See Junior
3rd Hedger’s Arnie Adorable at Alrewic
Breeders (4) What a close call between 2 top quality heavily marked blenheim dogs, both a delight and almost a toss of a coin, I am sure another day I could have them the other way round.
1st Inglis’ Craigowl Battenburg
Gentle headed dog with dark eye and pigment, good reach of neck and shoulders, lovely size, he moved very soundly in front and behind.
2nd Homes’ Leogem Marcello
Another gentle headed boy, also with with dark eye and pigment, slightly longer than one with better topline, however lacked the head carriage of the winner which spoilt the overall picture, stretching him out further in profile.
3rd Lunam’s Tingewood Red Oktober
Open (4) Three wonderful boys; all very worthy champions who have had much written about them!
1st Waters’ Ch Maibee Make Believe
His head could not be any more gentle, dark eyes and soft expression. Good reach of neck and correct shoulder placement, level topline, a little long over the loin but super hind angulation and moved with drive. A hot contender in the challenge but he needs to throw his dull summer coat and get his new winter one. So mature as a baby and yet no sign of going over the top.
2nd Hughes’ Ch Loranka’s Just Like Heaven
Well broken blenheim in magnificent coat, faultlessly presented as we come to expect from this kennel. This boy was quite immature as a youngster and has just got better and better and his head has softened, with large dark eyes. A lovely outline standing and on the move.
3rd Jones’ Ch & Am. Ch Timar Mister Moonlighter

Bitches Mrs P Stark
It was an honour to be invited to judge this prestigious Club show, and I was blessed with so many lovely bitches to go over – which brought to mind the old adage "the strength of the kennel (and the breed) is in the bitches", so this should bode well for the future of our lovely breed.

3rd Darley’s Kaidee Krista
Postgraduate (12, 3)
1st Cunningham’s Verheyen Tulip
I thought that this lovely richly coloured and nicely broken Blenheim stood out for type and quality. Her well presented silky coated gleamed with condition, classic head shape with a sweet open expression, the darkest of round eyes, clear evenly marked face and neat muzzle, all framed by the longest of correctly placed ears. Good reach of crested neck and well laid shoulders, firm well ribbed-back body, and strong well let down quarters. She moved with style and grace really covering the ground whilst keeping a level backline and proudly carried head. She presented a balanced picture at all times, a true Toy Spaniel and it was a great pleasure to award her the CC, and with the full agreement of my co-judge, Sheena Maclaine, Reserve Best In Show.
2nd Inglis’ Craigowl Blueberry JW
Clearly marked Tri with a beautiful head, dark lustrous eyes and rich tan highlights, her long full ears were correctly placed. Elegant reach of neck and correct forehand, cobby body and well angulated strong quarters, exhibited in full perfectly presented coat, she moved correctly keeping a level backline and ‘showed off’ her virtues with great enthusiasm – very close up to the winner and I was delighted to award her the Reserve CC.
