Dogs Mrs E Glenn (Sandbrae)
A wonderful welcome coupled with a large and quality entry of dogs awaited me at Top Barn, near Worcester. My thanks to the Committee for their hospitality, to my excellent steward, Lucy, who kept the ring running so smoothly and to the exhibitors for their support. For many it was their 3rd Show in so many days: special thanks to those who stayed on, and accepted my decisions so sportingly. Most exhibits were new to me and I found myself spoiled for choice in many of the classes, notably the younger ones. To have so many promising babies bodes well for the future of the Breed.

Minor Puppy (11 Entries, 4 Absent)
1st Hughes’ Jordanic Touch The Sky at Loranka
8 month. A neat, well-balanced Blenheim, full of substance: pleasing head, with flat skull and good eye placement. Super neck and crest sweeping down to well-laid shoulders, all supported by good depth of brisket. On the move, he showed off his well-broken coat, good topline and tailset. So very promising. BPD and BPIS.
2nd Sutcliffe’s Aristor Brunello
8 month. Another well-constructed blenheim boy, with good head and eye and plenty of soft-textured coat of a deep colour. Today he was not quite so together on the move as the winner, but a promising puppy of good type.
3rd Hurst & Wakes’ Llustant Embossed Marble
Res Hindle’s Ellisiana Adonis
VHC Parker’s Jordanic Luigi
Puppy (6, 2)
1st Boardman’s Volney Blackberry
9 Month. Black and Tan who won this class on his construction and movement. Good neck, crest and shoulder placement and well-let down hocks; head needs time to fill and body to mature. Coat is short right now, but, oh, so black with rich tan.
2nd Searle’s Stonepit Franco I Believe
11 month. Well-coated Tricolour with appealing expression, if just a fraction short in muzzle for me. Good bone, enough neck and good shoulder placement made for a pleasing outline, but not moving out so well as my winner.
3rd Pittam’s Earl Cuddles From Mars
Res Haywood’s Celxo’s Celebration Time
Junior (9, 3)
1st Fry & Jackson’s Amantra Paisley
I did like this waggy-tailed B/T boy. At 14 months his coat and body have still to develop, but what a lovely shape, with balance of leg length to body just right. Lovely head, so typical of this kennel, with darkest of eyes, good neck and shoulders. Very sound on the move. One to watch.
2nd Hughes’ Stonepit Heaven Sent to Loranka
13 m Blenheim with well-broken coat of correct texture, good head with expressive dark eyes. Body is well-made, just needs time to deepen and broaden across the pelvis. Presented a nice outline, but a little lazy behind today.

2nd Wood & Pittam’s Judyland Magical Memory
Impressive 14 m. blenheim dog of good colour and shape with pleasing head and eye. Of good construction, he is able to move well, but made his handler work hard today. His day will come.
3rd Pittam’s Earl Cuddles From Mars
Novice (6, 1)
1st Attwood’s Clentview Busby Babe
Lovely easy mover with pretty but masculine head and fine dark eyes. Well-broken Blenheim coat of good texture and colour. At just 13 months, he has lots of time.

Veteran (4, 2)
1st Lewis’ Leelyn Bumble for Carleeto ShCM
Lively 8 year old B/T dog who strutted proudly round the ring, moving well. Lovely head with expressive eyes so full of sparkle, and plenty of coat with good tan. He was in his element, and a worthy winner.
2nd Newell’s Corbieanne Misty Storm
Beautifully presented 7 year old Tricolour with handsome head and well-broken coat. He moved well. A real Gentleman.
Special Post Graduate Tricolour or Blenheim (13, 4) One of the best classes of the day, full of quality dogs, many going cardless.
1st Dawber’s Bevelmount Montecarlo at Simanbeck
This blenheim was new to me, but his outline caught my eye as he strode easily over the rather uneven ground. On closer examination, I found a classic head with shallow stop, dark limpid eyes, super neck and crest descending into well-laid shoulders, firm body, and excellent rear construction. He was my dog of the day, who, I am sure, with maturity, will trouble the best. Best Dog and RBIS.
2nd Crane’s Spindlepoint Macallan into Cranvarl
Blenheim, smaller in size but similar in shape to 1 with good construction and excellent movement. Beautifully presented with a wealth of well-broken, silky coat. Splitting hairs, I just preferred the head shape of 1.
3rd Martins’ Loranka’s Here Comes The Sun to Clemartill
Res Boardman’s Veuve De Volney
VHC Fry & Jackson’s Amantra Ringmaster
Special Post Graduate Black & Tan or Ruby (7, 1)
1st Finney’s Anberan Pumpkin Spice at Sylklands
Neat little ruby, well-balanced, well-made, moving true with good tail carriage. Lots of soft silky coat, which could be a shade darker. Reminded me so much of his famous Grandsire.
2nd Hargest’s Kathysgirl Kandyman
Well-balanced, 2 year-old B/Tan in full gleaming black coat with rich tan; handsome head with well-spaced dark eyes. Moved well with level topline and good tailset.
3rd Hollamby’s Tamcinia Midnight Folly
Res Allitt’s Tillashby Gold’N Delicious
VHC Wileman & Bott’s Narayden Dark Shadow of Narvidar
Limit (8, 3)
1st Ireland’s Charnell Monterey
Handsome 2 yr old Blenheim with lovely dark, expressive eyes, good neck, and crest, and fine front assembly, giving that extra reach on the move. Perhaps a little more substance would complete the picture, but so full of breed type.
2nd Allitt’s Tillashby Georgio
A smart moving blenheim who impressed in profile. Soundly constructed, with well-broken silky coat. Just preferred the head and eye of my winner.
3rd Hollamby’s Tamcinia Midnight Folly
Res Gaskell’s Jeilohn Coinneach
VHC Bloice’s Scotlass Fusion
Open (8, 0)
1st Hughes’ Loranka’s Moment In Time JW
Handsome, well-made Tri of substance, who impressed in head, neck and shoulders. He has all the essentials and his well-broken coat was beautifully presented, as ever from this kennel. A lovely mover who could have made more of himself today, but gave enough in the challenge to take RBD.
2nd Craig’s Cinderlace Arabis of Aldachell
Soundly moving Blenheim dog with good head and expression. Kept a level topline on the uneven ground. Rich chestnut coat, heavily marked, but of correct texture.

Minor Puppy (12 Entries, 2 Absent)
1st Sutcliffe’s Aristor Cocoa
8 month Bl. Confident and poised, this little lady stood out in a very good class. She had a well-broken gleaming coat, pretty head & dark eye, good neck and crest. She moved out well showing off her good topline and tailset. A promising puppy who can be forgiven for tiring a little in the challenge.
2nd Waddington’s Spindlepoint Lyra
8 month Bl. Such a pretty dainty little lady, and another lovely mover. Of finer make all round than my winner, but plenty of substance for her size. Loved her expression. Good rear and tailset. Close up to 1.
3rd Gaskell’s Jeilohn Brambles
Res Biddle’s Hearthfriend Blue Moon
VHC Loades’ Rosirius Jazmine
Puppy (14, 1)
1st Knight’s Carolus Little Miss Perfect
10 month Bl. Today she lived up to her name and never put a foot wrong to take this very strong class. Smart and showy, this shapely puppy had left her clothes off, but had everything else in the right place: pretty head, dark eye, good pigment, correct balance of leg to body. She moved and wagged her way to BPB. Well done.
2nd Gillhespy & Mowatt’s Lorphil Slip Silver
9 month Bl. A few weeks younger than 1 and not quite so finished in head and slightly finer in body.Lovely eye, reachy neck, good shoulder placement. A promising puppy who needs time. Another who excelled in movement and never stopped wagging.

Junior (11, 6)
1st Turnbull’s Rabymar Rianna at Peakdowns
14 m B/T with lots of gleaming black coat and rich tan. Well made all over and so well-balanced, she moved effortlessly round the ring. Maturity should give more fill beneath her lovely dark eyes.
2nd Hughes’ Loranka’s Upsy Daisy
Sweet-headed little blenheim with limpid dark eyes, good neck, well-sprung rib already, and well let-down hocks. Lovely type. Just preferred the movement of 1.

2nd Whitfield’s Bevelmount Red Focus
Third in the very strong Puppy class, this little ruby is so pleasing to go over. Pretty in head with good dark eyes and wonderful pigment, so hard to get right in this colour. Short-coupled and well-balanced, she moved so soundly: rear movement and tailset a joy to watch.
3rd Gillhespy’s Lorphill Sea Siren
Res Gumm & Cunningham’s Verheyen Tarka
VHC Wilding-Davies’ Dragonfly Daisy
Novice (8, 1)
1st Whitfield’s Bevelmount Red Sharaz
Litter sister to 2nd in Maiden, this ruby is mature for 9 months: already well developed in brisket and pelvis, she is perhaps not so immediately striking in head as her sister, but the more I looked, the more I liked what I saw. So very sound on the move.
2nd Hughes’ Verheyen Toast Evydal
Pretty blenheim bitch with good front, and nice rear angles. Well-broken coat of soft texture, pretty head with large dark eyes. Scored in outline on the move.
3rd Rees & Robinson’s Tusculana Carmella
Res Ford’s Hiscli Amarula
VHC Allitt’s Tillashby Jive Baby
Veteran (7, 1) A lovely gathering of top-class mature ladies.
1st Rix & Berry’s Ch Ricksbury Royal Embrace
I was pleased and proud to be able to go over this lovely bitch: just a few weeks short of her 10th birthday, she is as impressive to handle as she is to observe. Classic outline both standing and on the move, so pretty in head, with no sign of aging, in good coat and in fine fettle. She knew her job and moved and showed to perfection. BVIS.
2nd Hughes’ Ch Loranka’s Star Surprise
Another bitch I have admired ringside who is so pleasing to go over: pretty in head with good dark eye, in full, silky coat, with good neck and impressive front assembly which allowed her to move out so well. She presented a lovely outline on the move.
3rd McMurray’s Merryoth Maeve
Res Turner’s Shalot Lady Bethan
VHC Waddington’s Spindlepoint Kim Crawford
Special Post Graduate Tricolour or Blenheim (14, 2) Two lovely bitches, of similar type headed this very strong class: I note their sires are from the same kennel.
1st Turnbull’s Peakdowns Skye
Today, this little lady had the ‘Wow’ factor. Though small in stature, she is correctly proportioned and full of substance. Her excellent construction throughout was demonstrated as she moved out in front, with spirit level topline and correct tailset. So pretty in head and expression with lovely dark eye. Still up on her toes by the end of the day, and showing to perfection. A well-deserved BB and BIS.
2nd Gow’s Lochbuie Teazle at Lyncraeg
So similar in make and shape to 1, with the same pretty head, this time, with the much-valued spot. Moved well with impressive outline, though I have seen her in better coat. A tad more substance would complete the picture for me.
3rd Waddington’s Spindlepoint Joy
Res Gaskell’s Jeilohn Myrna
VHC Vella’s Cinderlace Honey
Special Post Graduate Black & Tan or Ruby (13, 2)
1st Smith’s Beaudale Bye Bye Lullaby
One of the prettiest rubies I have had the pleasure to go over: lovely head shape with plenty of fill beneath those large dark eyes. So sound in body and in good coat, which could be a shade darker, she moved so well. Such a sweet, demure lady.
2nd Whitfield’s Bevelmount Red Ribbons
Another well-constructed bitch with wonderful pigment from this kennel. Different in head to 1, but with the same lovely eyes, she impressed in outline and movement. Slightly out of coat today.

Very shapely bitch, with good neck, shoulders, and a well-sprung rib. Pretty in head with appealing expression and soulful eyes. Coat of good texture heavily marked but of good colour. Moved well with a lovely outline.
2nd Willey & Siddle’s Penemma Pash
Another well-made bitch who impressed on the move with good front and rear angles. Pretty in head with dark eye, but, splitting hairs, I preferred the expression of 1.

Another I was pleased to go over, having admired her ringside. A lovely bitch of excellent make and shape, as ever from this kennel. Shapely head, filling out nicely, dark eye, super front and rib, well-marked. Very sound and relaxed on the move. Close up in the challenge but just pipped at the post by the poise and showmanship of my winner. RBB.
