Dogs Mrs E Lessig (Roi’l)
I thank the committee, chaired by Mrs M. Rees, for the honor of judging at this prestigious show and the exhibitors for the pleasure of their dogs. The hard work the committee put into planning and conducting the show was apparent in every fine detail. My stewards, Mr. Cornaby and Mrs. Waller, made the ring run efficiently and pleasantly. My co-judge and I had an easy task at the end, agreeing on all our major decisions. The kind comments that so many exhibitors shared was most appreciated. Continued success is wished for all.

1st Jones’ Timsar Master Of Ceremonies
What a treat to the eye and touch! Well balanced Blenheim with a pleasing head, large, dark round eyes, soft expression, cushioning, moderate stop. Carrying a level topline, correct tailset and carriage, moving with reach and drive. Silky coat. Well turned stifles with short hocks. I liked the proportion of body length being slightly longer than height. He was shown with style. Amazed to discover that he was not a champion only to learn that he has not really been shown. He is a sire to admire. I was told that both best puppy at this show and my winner’s dog at the American Cavalier King Charles National Specialty are his progeny. A well deserved RCC and Best Veteran dog.
2nd Baker & Park’s Ch Keyingham Branwell
Another well balanced Blenheim with much to admire. A real toy spaniel of correct size and balance. Moved out carrying a level topline. Soft expression. Preferred the topskull and ear set of 1st place.

Ample cushioning under the eyes and through the muzzle, high set ears, flat topskull. Such a happy fellow who moved with a level topline, correct tail carriage and confidence. Short coupled, good length of leg, short hocks. Unable to compete for Best Puppy Dog as he was also entered in a highly competitive Novice Class.

Novice (17, 3)
1st Fox-Shone’s Pamedna Vancouver
This is not a dog who attracts your attention, but rather one who charms you, reminding you just what a Cavalier should be. Although he is a "young star", he exudes breed type. It was seeing him in the challenge, among his fellow class winners, where he stood out. My class notes say the following: "Blenheim with an ideal head, the largest dark, round eyes with soft melting expression which define the breed. Padding under the eyes, cushioned muzzle, moderate stop. Well proportioned, head fits his body, slightly longer than tall, arched neck, laid back shoulders, level topline, short coupled, well turned stifles, short hocks, moderate bone correct for size. He moves as he is made. Silky coat with feathering." In the challenge I kept going back to him. On the day he was my "Prince Charming". CC and Reserve Best In Show.
2nd Godwin’s Cavaliegh Kinsman
