Dogs Mr K M Li (Avalcier)
My sincere thanks to the Southern CKCS Committee for the honour to judge this show and to my able stewards for the smooth and efficient running of the ring. At this time of year, the efforts of the Committee resulted in a festive show atmosphere. I was delighted with the good entry, particularly in the bitches and thank the exhibitors for the quality of their exhibits. There were some lovely puppies which bode well for the future of the breed.

Veteran (3 Entries, 1 Absent)
1st Latteck’s Pascavale Mikie
This slow maturing tri boy looks much younger than his 7 years. A well cushioned pretty head. Heavily marked but with coat of correct texture, scored on presentation and moved happily round the ring.
2nd Lock’s Korolevsky Nikolay
Another tri, more masculine in head and larger than 1. Rich tan and also heavily marked, solid body with strong forequarters. Not as firm in topline as 1 when moving.
Minor Puppy (5, 0)
1st Vella’s Cinderaic Seduction
A promising blen puppy of 7 months. Excellent nose pigment, expressive dark eyes. Well shaped head maturing nicely. A little longer in body, covered by quality silky richly coloured coat. Full of character and moved well when settled.
2nd Hazeltine’s Juzandia Perfectly Frank
A month older blen with a squarer outline. Pleasing head, topped with lozenge, ample neck and body development right for age. Falling slightly in croup but moved well holding a level topline.
3rd Ford’s Hiscli Mattisse
Res Holbrook’s Kathelsie’s Geddibear at Vonnyisle
VHC Heaver’s Amantra Marvin
Puppy (6, 2)
1st Bryant’s Cobbets Frankly Frankie
Standing with a nice outline and attentive to handler. A richly coloured blenheim with a wide white collar. Lovely head, gentle expression and excelled on pigment. Liked his size and bone but still immature in body although had superb muscle tone. Moved with an excellent topline but needs to relax when he becomes more animated. Did enough to win BPD.
2nd Towse’s Miletree Gallica
A b/t of 11 months. Animated youngster with balanced shape, excellent reach of neck, well angulated, shiny raven black coat with rich tan. His head needs time to develop and front to tighten but fills the eye when moving in profile, holding a good topline, head and tail carriage.
3rd Ford’s Hiscli Mattisse
Res Carey’s Royallynbar Morning Glory
Junior (5, 0)
1st Godwin’s Cavaliegh Kinsman
Excellent sized blen full of breed type. Long ear fringing framing a gentle masculine head, eyes well spaced and a well filled foreface. Nicely marked rich chestnut coat. Everything moderate about this boy, with a soundly constructed body, arched neck and shoulders well laid back. Possessing a neat shape and on top form. His virtuous stylish eye-catching movement, flowing round the ring, with excellent reach and drive won him his class and more. BIS.
2nd Rhodes’ Calonlan Will I Am
Another quality exhibit. Handsome lad of 14 months, with clear definition on head and body, stood square. Ample bone for size, good depth of chest but not the forequarters of winner. Moved well with good topline and tail carriage. A non-stop showman.
3rd King-Smith’s Ispahan Elisir D’Amore
Res Mynott’s Honeybet As If By Magic
VHC Kitching’s Ixion Sir Galahad
Novice (4, 1)
1st Richens’ Emarik Mayhem
Well coated blenheim with plenty of feathering and in good condition. Large round eyes and dense nose pigment. Nice size, firm in body, ribs well sprung but not quite the preferred shoulder placement. Good showmanship.
2nd Boardman’s Volney Blackberry
B/t more immature in head and body, slightly larger in frame and a little more up on the leg than 1. Not quite the finish of 1 but has promise of a good shiny coat and good tan. Moved happily round keeping level topline.
3rd Kitching’s Ixion Sir Galahad
Special Graduate Blenheim (2, 1)
1st Wightman’s Charnell Montgomery at Kailyflee
Stood alone but of undeniable quality. Well schooled blen in full coat, soft and silky to the touch. Well cushioned head with expressive eyes. Nicely made body, strikes a pleasing picture on the stand, beautifully turned out and a stylish mover. A little more neck would provide the elegance to surpass the contender for top honours but nonetheless a very worthy RBIS.
Special Graduate Tricolour (2, 0)
1st Latteck’s Pascavale Mikie
As 1st Veteran Dog.
2nd Heaver’s Amantra Marvin
VHC in a strong minor puppy class who has time on his side as he is only just over 6 months. Narrower blaze, bright eyes, good tan, body development in line with his age. Moved ok and attentive to handler.
Special Graduate Black & Tan (3, 0)
1st Bryant’s Kakukura George Carter
An exuberant boy with a wonderful attitude, well schooled on the stand. Attractive head with large round eyes, good earset and ear fringing. His profile has great appeal, albeit a little longer cast. Moved well when settled.
2nd Kitching’s Ixion Sir Galahad
A 15 month old lad with a shorter muzzle length, deeper stop, giving him a stronger expression. Good coat, squarer in shape with a respectable length of neck. Just wish he was more enthusiastic today.
3rd Hollamby’s Tamcinia Midnight Folly
Special Graduate Ruby (1, 0)
1st Summers & Carter’s Elkjen George Is Best
Masculine but not coarse in head, nicely filled muzzle. Well constructed, good spring of ribs and hindquarters with correct tailset. Appearing a little disinterested and would benefit from moving round faster.
Post Graduate (5, 1)
1st Wightman’s Royalston Enchanting
Good sized blen of good breed type with an inquisitive nature. Plenty of coat of outstanding texture and length. Pretty and appealing in the head. Good hind assembly with correct turn of stifle, striding out on his short pasterns and excellent tail carriage.
2nd Boardman’s Veuve de Volney
A wilful character, not as open in face as 1 but with lovely eyes and dense nose pigment. Well broken in markings with a good length of straight silky coat. Constructed suitably allowing free movement. Just wished he was smaller.
3rd Lock’s Kellorian One Step Beyond
Res Richens’ Emarik Mayhem

Another well constructed blenheim dog. Clean faced, less forward in brow, evenly marked with round eyes. Nicely balanced with crested neck and good tailset. Alert boy, always attentive to handler and moved well.

Close decision. Another well marked blen, ideal size, not as mature in body but more compact than 1. Gentle expression with eyes well spaced, full ears, another with dark eyes and good nose pigment. Left her coat behind today. Moved well but was a little unsettled.

2nd Smith’s Wightisle Twist of Magic at Sapphireisle
Delightful smaller girl which I liked a lot. Pretty with bright eyes and not as forward in foreface than 1. Heavier marked with a white collar and coat texture could be better. An exuberant girl who commanded attention. Moved happily.
3rd Atkins’ Triodan Tiffany at Lacerta
Special Graduate Black & Tan (3, 1)
1st Ford & Carter’s Hiscli Amarula
There is a cheeky look about this girl. Good development for age, shapely body, longer cast with good lay of shoulders. Straight coat, rich tan covering and moved soundly round.
2nd Hollamby’s Tamcinia Black Velvet
Stronger headed girl with a deeper stop and well filled muzzle. Mature in body and thick coat. Nice eyes but preferred the eye colour and enthusiasm of 1.
