Bitches Mr K Berry
Liz Stannard and the friendly committee of Leeds Dog Show must have breathed a huge sigh of relief that the sun has got its hat on at last. (That could be a record that Blackpool could look for next year.) It was a pleasure to judge in such a beautiful venue, with well laid out rings, and to see the Cavaliers with the sun on their backs at last.

Best Puppy Goodwin’s Lanola So Like Shealagh

Minor Puppy (5 Entries 2 Absent)
1st Goodwin’s Lanola So Like Shealagh
Tri colour, well broken markings. Good body, developing nicely. Level topline, good tail set and Croup. Has lots of bright tan, and her coat is soft and silky of the correct texture. Her crowning glory at the moment is her head. Beautiful eyes, dark and expressive, giving the desired expression. A very well balanced puppy who should have a bright future. BP in B.
2nd Rogerson’s Sweet Pavlova
Nice sized richly marked Blen. Pretty head with good dark eyes and sweet expression. Moved and showed well, but still needs to tighten in front.
3rd White’s Cavilera’s Storm In A Teacup at Carleny
Puppy (11, 2)
1st Bayliss’ Castlewych Painted Lady
Lovely richly marked Blen with a pretty head and dark appealing eyes. Good pigmentation and correct bite. Very well constructed in body. She has an excellent turn of stifle and good shoulder placement. I just preferred the ultra feminine expression of the MP for best puppy.
2nd Li’s Avalcier Inspired JW
Another really lovely Blen bitch, and it was minor details that separated these two lovely bitches. She has a well broken coat of the correct soft silky texture. Ultra feminine head. Large dark appealing eyes. Carried herself nicely on the move, but could just tighten a little more in front.
3rd Moffatt’s Maibee Callista
Res Waters’ Angel’s Pride Valerie
VHC Lovel’s Lovetrac Phenomena
Junior (13, 3)
1st Hogan’s Stavonga Silhouette
Lovely Blen of ideal size and proportions. Beautiful soft and silky textured coat of good rich colour. A very sound bitch that does not do herself justice and almost threw the class away through lack of enthusiasm for showing. Her head is correct, being quite flat between the ears, has well placed dark eyes, and correct dentition. Good neck and shoulder placement and excellent top line. This lovely bitch just needs to portray herself a little more.
2nd Maclaine’s Lochbuie Taken As Red
Ruby bitch I loved her. She is so sound and well put together, has a lovely head. So well proportioned, such a sweet soft gentle expression, and excellent pigmentation. A good arched neck, a level topline, correct tail set. A beautiful rich ruby coat that gleamed. She moved soundly and positively around the ring. The longer grass gave the appearance of being shorter in leg then she actually is, that said she would benefit with a tadge more on the leg.

1st Hubbard’s Cobbets Dancing Diva avec Popolulu JW
Wonderful bitch of ideal size. Small and well balanced. Rich in colour. She has a lovely head, being flat between the ears. Her eyes while being dark and expressive, I would like a shade larger. She has a well developed body, and she moved and showed displaying the characteristics we look for in the breed.
2nd Waddington’s Spindlepoint Lyra
Another very pretty bitch, not as forward as the winner, but of lovely breed type and quality, and so well balanced. She to would benefit from another 1” on the leg.

1st Ireland’s Charnell Montage
This bitch is a lovely size Blen with a well broken coat, that needs a bit of attention. It is of a soft silky texture. She has a lovely head, with beautiful large dark appealing eyes. Excellent pigmentation. Has good neck and shoulders, an excellent spring of rib. Good hindquarters, and correctly carried tail. I am surprised this lovely bitch has not done better.
2nd Callaghan & Todd’s Charwelton Angelic Star at Callyspride
Ultra feminine Blen with a mouth watering head. Like 1 has a most glorious expression from large dark appealing eyes. Good neck and shoulders, retained an excellent top line both standing and on the move. Her coat was soft and silky and of the correct texture. Unlucky to meet the winner.

1st Claydon’s Brymarden Carolina Moon JW
Wonderful Blen bitch of ideal size. Good generous head, flat between the ears. Beautiful large dark expressive eyes. Just the right amount of cushioning beneath them. Good mouth. Arched neck, leading to excellent shoulder placement. Good spring of rib. Excellent angulation. In good coat. Would have moved round the ring l0 times if I had wanted, but we may have needed a stretcher for the owner. She was looking to meet the CC winner who was on top form on the day. RCC.
2nd Hegarty’s Chantismere Claddagh
This lovely bitch did not quite have the coat of the winner but she is of lovely size. Full of breed type and quality. Lovely dark expressive eyes, dense pigmentation. Good neck and shoulders. Held a good top line on the move. This was an excellent class, and any one of the first 3 could have won it, and I would be surprised if all 3 did not gain their titles.

1st Hughes’ Ch Loranka’s Sherrie Baby JW
I make no secret, I have always adored this Tri colour bitch. Her head is perfection. There is little more I can add to all the comments already past about her. Suffice to say I have never seen this bitch out of coat or out of condition. She is a credit not only to her breeder, but also to the breed. They don’t come like this to often. I have liked and admired her in the past, and I was glad of a second opportunity to judge her where she went one higher and took the CC. Both the dog judge and myself were in complete agreement to send forward the dog, who just had the slight edge on youthfulness, but my co judge herself had already given the glorious bitch a CC.
2nd Baillie’s Fyrnrose Mrs Tiggy Winkle
A beautiful Blen of the correct size. Lovely head, eye and expression are as one would expect from the breeder. She carries herself well around the ring, and her coat was of correct texture. These were three nice bitches in this class, and it was not disgrace coming 3rd.
3rd Brewer & Moody’s Am Ch Bowfort My Sweet Valentine

1st Richardson’s Kringleholme Applause
Lovely bitch of ideal size and proportion. Very good head, with bright sparkling dark eyes. Good pigmentation. Nice body proportions. She moved around the ring like a 2 year old, and deserved to win Best Veteran in Breed.
2nd Goodwin’s Ch Lanola Salsa JW ShCM
A worthy Champion, whose progeny has done are now making their mark in the breed. A lovely sized bitch with a well broken coat. It’s a pity she showed no enthusiasm, but she has nothing to prove and her owner should be proud of her.
