Dogs Miss V Cox (Petitpaws)
I felt very privileged to judge the club open show. I would like to thank my stewards who kept things moving along nicely and also to all the exhibitors and their dogs who braved the blazing heat, and it’s not often you can say that. I had some really nice dogs to go over, some classes of rather mixed quality, whilst others I wished I had more than one red card. A number of exhibits had incorrect bites which hopefully will correct with time and maturity. Presentation was good, a few had rather fluffy coats and a few dull coats. Movement, considering the hot weather, was very good and temperaments without exception were charming making it a pleasure to judge this show.

Best Puppy Dog Hobb’s Beaconsfylde Fade To Black

Minor Puppy (2 Entries, 1 Absent)
1st Godwin’s Cavaleigh Angelo
Well marked richly coloured blen boy, just 6 months. Nicely balanced with good body and bone. Attractive head with a soft expression and dark expressive eyes. Good layback of shoulder, firm body and level topline. Moves out well with fluid action in profile, just a touch close behind going away at the moment. Promising youngster.
Puppy (3, 0)
1st Hobb’s Beaconsfylde Fade To Black
Easy winner of this class, very smart b/t boy with pleasing head, lovely soft expression and well filled muzzle. Good body shape, nicely crested neck leading to level topline. Well-presented raven black coat with rich tans of correct texture. Moved out well with purpose, attentive and happy showman too. Plenty of potential here, and was pleased to award him BPD and BPIS.
2nd Greensmith’s Dersue Arthur Pint
Nicely marked blen with a most attractive head and soft expression with dense nose pigmentation. Good bone and substance, just a little bum high at the moment and could do with a little more muscle tone to his hindquarters to advantage. Moved steadily.
3rd Wilkins & Smith’s Roweland Black Magic
Junior (3, 0)
1st Williams’ Sancana Rainbow Warrior
A well-made typy blen boy with lovely masculine head, elegant neck and good front and an excellent topline. Richly coloured coat, presented so well, and lovely texture too. Scores highly on the move, very smart, covering the ground with ease with correctly carried tail. In the dog challenge, just preferred the size and balance of the winner, but thought highly of him and was pleased to award him RBD.
2nd Godwin’s Cavaleigh Fletcher
Tri boy with pleasing head and markings with the longest of ears framing his face and lovely dense nose pigment. Well off for bone with well sprung ribs and level topline, coat texture not as silky as winner. Moved truly.
3rd Hobbs’ Beaconsfylde Tri N Mighty
Maiden (0, 0)
Novice (4, 2)
1st Hawkes’ Kersmere Minstrel
Bigger built blen, pleasing handsome head with dark eyes and correct pigmentation. Elegant neck, well laid shoulders and level topline. Silky coat that was quite well broken up. Moved out steadily. Lots of potential.
2nd Jones’ Triodan Tom Traddles at Droleus
Preferred the size of this tri boy, but would like a softer expression, lovely long ears. Good reach of neck, firm topline and well angulated hindquarters, could carry a little more weight to advantage. Moves steadily.
Under Graduate (5, 2)
1st Godwin’s Cavaleigh Jacob
Stood out in this class, glamorous and really eye catching blen dog, ideal size and so well balanced. Beautiful head, soft gentle expression with plenty of cushioning and full ears. Elegant neck, super shoulders and level topline. Turned out beautifully. Moves so easily and true with elegant head carriage. A worthy winner, full of breed type with lots of breed qualities. Very pleased to award him BD and BOS.
2nd Bloice’s Scotlass Iamabeliever
Pleasing masculine head and soft expression with excellent pigmentation. Well put together, with good ribs and topline, moves out with ease. Rich chestnut colouring and presented nicely.

See Junior
2nd Biggs’ Kellorian Reason To Believe
Attractive blen of pleasing size and shape. Lovely spring of rib, short loin and well-marked coat. Turned out beautifully. Would like a little larger eye and softer expression to complete. Really good movement fore and aft.
3rd Searle’s Stonepit Franco I Believe
Post Graduate Whole colour (3, 1)
1st Allitt’s Tillashby Gold N Delicious JW
Very pleasing ruby boy, preferred his size and shape. Masculine head with large dark eyes and gentle expression. Good reach of neck with a level topline. Richly coloured coat, needs a little more coat to complete the picture. Moved out well and happily, maintaining a level top, touch proud of his tail.
2nd Hobbs’ Beaconfylde Black To Black
Slightly bigger built b/t, with good head shape and long ears, would like a slightly softer expression. Reachy neck and level topline, a little longer cast than winner, gleaming coat. Moves out truly and with ease.
Limit (3, 1)
1st Hedger’s Khatibi Peter Bread for Alrewic
Tri boy, won this class on his better outline and shape. Handsome head, well marked with a gentle expression. Good shoulders and topline. Moves out well enough, touch close behind going away. Well presented, would like coat to be a bit silkier in texture.
2nd Bloice’s Scotlass Fusion
Handsome head with pleasing expression. Looks a touch stuffy in neck which spoils his overall outline. Sound rear action from nicely angulated hind quarters.

1st Allitt’s Tillashby Georgio
Super blen dog, scores in head with plenty of cushioning, dark eyes and full ears giving a very pleasing expression. Well shaped body, excellent neck and shoulders, level topline and good angulations. Very well presented and handled. Moved truly with good driving rear action whilst his topline at all time. Close up in the challenge, really good quality boy.
2nd Godwin’s Cavaleigh Kinsman
Richly coloured blen, nicely marked. Pleasing head, dark eyes and long ears framing his face adding to the expression. Nicely crested neck, good shoulders and topline. Feeling the heat a bit and couldn’t quite match the movement of the winner today, but a super dog, full of quality.
3rd Hobbs’ Khatibi Ready Teddy Go to Beaconsfylde
Veteran (2, 0)
1st Tarabad’s Am Ch/Can Ch Khatibi Eamon High JW SCM
Moving like a dream, this tri boy has such a gentle expression and lovely dark limpid eyes and the longest of ears. Holding his age well, although a touch heavy over his shoulders. Good topline and strong hindquarters.
2nd Newell’s Corbieanne Misty Storm ShCM
Another moving like a dream and holding his age well. Nice head, with large eyes, would like a slightly softer expression. Good front and topline, nicely angulated. Moves true and soundly. Happy showman too.

Best Puppy Bitch Searle’s Stonepit I Believe In Angels

Minor Puppy (8 Entries, 2 Absent)
1st Searle’s Stonepit I Believe In Angels
Most mature in this class, this heavily marked tri stood out for me with her beautiful head and oh so sweet expression and dark eyes. Well balanced with lovely outline and tail carriage. Movement was effortless with good drive from behind. BPB, just losing out in the challenge for best puppy to the more mature dog, but she has bags of potential and is most promising.
2nd Allitt’s Russmic So Delicious by Tillashby
Aptly named! Less mature than the winner at the moment, this ruby baby girl is so pretty with such a soft gentle expression, flat skull and excellent pigment. Lovely neck and shoulders and level topline. Moves out well and quite the show girl. Nicely balanced and beautiful rich colour, should have a bright future.
3rd Tarabad’s New Lisa Life for Khatibi
Puppy (6, 3)
1st Lowe’s Perfect Melody Alawago
Most mature in this class, this b/t was very nicely presented, richly marked, flat silky coat. Good head shape with the darkest of eyes. Good neck and shoulders, and nicely angulated, appears a touch long cast at the moment. Moves out well, can be a little proud of her tail.
2nd Allitt’s Russmic Just Delicious by Tillashby
Less mature ruby, very pretty head and expression with large dark eyes. Well bodied for age and lovely flat silky coat of really rich colour. Good bone and moves out ok, just needs to settle a bit, but most promising.
3rd Pipkin’s Ryanmill Queen Of The Night
Junior (6, 2)
1st Coole’s Jolainey Magical
Lovely for size and full of breed type, this quality young lady has such a very pretty head with the darkest of eyes and soft expression. Well balanced with a pleasing profile, no exaggeration. Good angulations, correct silky coat and moves out with style, most promising.
2nd Godwin’s Cavaleigh Lillian
Very similar type to winner, full of breed type. Lovely face, so pretty, nose not quite filled yet. Beautifully made, good reach of neck with lovely shoulders. Free and true action on the move.
3rd Lowe’s Perfectly Sparkling Alwago
Maiden (8, 4)
1st Godwin’s Cavaleigh Love In A Mist
Lovely size, real toy spaniel. Pretty well marked blen, delightful head, dark expressive eyes, nose still needs to fill. Lovely outline, good angulations and well carried tail. Beautiful coat presentation. Moves truly.
2nd Tarabad’s New Lisa Life for Khatibi
Just a baby, but out moved some of her class mates. Well-marked coat, pretty head and expression. Nicely made throughout, developing along the right lines.
3rd Hawe’s Kersmere Louisa
Novice (4, 2)
1st Tarabad’s New Lisa Life for Khatibi
As above, clearly less mature, but moved better than the second.
2nd Dredge & Neal’s Alcavona Temperance
Pretty girl, well-marked and such a pretty expression, moves out well enough, but carrying far too much weight which spoilt her outline. If her owners can resist those melting eyes and trim her down a bit, then she could do well.
Under Graduate (6, 2)
1st Jones’ Kalcer Special Image among Droleus
Headed rather a mixed class, tri, wouldn’t want her any bigger, but she has the prettiest head and pleasing soft expression. Well-constructed, very good shoulders and topline. Coat is rather heavy and long which doesn’t show her shapely outline off to best advantage. Free easy mover.
2nd Newell’s Corbieanne Octavia
Richly marked blen girl, similar size to winner but needs more coat to complete the picture. Good head shape, would like a little softer expression. Nicely put together which shows on the move, very smooth and true.
3rd Godwin’s Cavaleigh Desire
Post Graduate Blen/Tri (7, 2)
1st Goodwin’s Lanola So like Shealagh JW
Lovely head tri, with the sweetest expression, limpid eyes, such a pretty girl. Super for size and shape, really good neck and shoulders, well ribbed, super movement, so fluid and true. Showing well here but feeling the heat a bit in the challenge.
2nd Tarabad’s Khatibi I’m Martha Sleep
Younger and less mature as yet, real handful and needs to settle, but I do love her exuberant happy personality. Very pretty, with sweet head and dark eyes. Great topline and presents a well-balanced picture. Free and sound movement, most promising.
3rd Coole’s Jolainey Magic Touch
Post Graduate Whole colour (3, 1)
1st Owen’s Narayden Golden Touch at Hansowens
Stood out for me in this class, b/t nice size, a tad long cast, but super coat and gleaming condition. Pretty head and expression, lovely neck and level topline. Fluid and true on the move.
2nd Tee’s Kinglory October Roze
Ruby lady, taller type and coat a bit dull in comparison with winner, needs to be moved a bit quicker as she tends to pace.
Limit (2, 1)
1st Surman’s Cavaleigh Caress Vallender
Super blen b, really nice quality, liked her size and make. Pretty head with soft expression, the of longest of ears and lovely eyes. Well-constructed throughout, very feminine. In good coat of correct texture and such sound moving. Close up in challenge.

1st Williams’ Sorata Barley Wine Sancana JW ShCM
Beautiful and very glamorous little ruby girl, stood out for me with her flawless presentation and glorious colour. Superb head giving a melting expression, large dark eyes and excellent pigmentation. She is so well put together, lovely crested neck, level topline and nicely angulated rear. Super movement, shows with panache and presents an elegant overall picture. Should make up with any luck, top draw material and my star of the show. BB BIS.
2nd Tarabad’s Kaidee Kiss Me Kate Khatibi JW ShCM
Similar size blen girl and very pretty indeed, and a lovely shape and outline. Pleasing head, so pretty with desired lozenge to enhance the picture. Well-made throughout, level topline and tail carried correctly. Well-schooled and handled to advantage, a high-quality young lady with bags of personality and charm, who pushed the winner hard, another out of the top drawer and should continue to do well, couldn’t resist her for my RBB and RBIS.
3rd Lowe’s Turretbank Dark Delight

Super blen lady, attractive head and soft expression enhanced by large dark eyes. Well-made throughout, in great coat and condition. Moves out well, pleased to award her BVIS.

Lovely b/t of good size. Pleasing head, dark eyes and good expression. Holding her age well, and moves out with such purpose, touch proud of her tail. In lovely coat and condition, plenty of featherings. Very nice.
