Dogs Mrs C Cartledge (Ryslip)
It was a real pleasure to judge a good entry of 175 from 147 dogs. The dogs were friendly and obliging all the way through but that is just their normal way. Size was rather up and down the scale, also quite a few were shown on the plump side. Many were too long in body with slightly shorter legs than I prefer, they are supposed to be short coupled. Mouths were very good on the whole, coats were silky. A few gay tails and some were slack in movement, possibly due to lack of exercise. They should be a sporting, active toy breed, not couch potatoes.
