Heather Wheeler (Drumhaye)

Heather Wheeler

Sadly Heather Wheeler (Drumhaye) passed away on the 18th April 2026. Heather had been in failing health for the previous 12 months. Her funeral is on 22nd May at 11.30 a.m. at the Torbay Crematorium TQ2 7QG. Unfortunately this is the same day as Toy Dog Day at the Bath Championship Show and The West of England CKCS Club companion Championship Show.

Her daughter has set up a memorial site, where donations can be made in Heather»s memory to Devon Air Ambulance. https://heather-wheeler1.muchloved.com/

Many people will remember Heather as Molly Coaker’s travelling companion. Heather handled several dogs for Molly and received CC’s and Reserve CC’s with them. Heather owned and made-up Champion Homerbrent Highday and bred a Canadian champion Drumhaye Capital. She campaigned Sharonaz Melody for Drumhaye to two CC’s and 14 Best Veteran in Show and a further 6 best Veteran Bitch awards.

Heather judged at CC level five times in the UK and once in Ireland and once in the Netherlands. She also served on the West of England Cavalier King Charles Spaniel Club committee for several years and for a while as Treasurer.

Although Heather stopped showing after the untimely death of Molly Coaker she kept her interest in the show scene and wanted to know what was happening and watched Crufts on the television.
