GENETICS OF SYRINGOMYELIA AND BREEDING STRATEGIES TO REDUCE OCCURRENCE
On these pages the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel Club aims to keep you informed of the progress into the development of Estimated Breeding Values (EBVs) led by Dr Sarah Blott of the Animal Health Trust.
ESTIMATED BREEDING VALUES (EBVs)

A meeting was recently held at The Animal Heath Trust to discuss and advance the EBV programme being developed by Dr Sarah Blott.

The meeting was fortunate in that those attending included eminent people from AHT with extensive experience in the field of data collection and its analysis.

These meeting notes have been produced jointly by the four breed club representatives who were nominated by the Liaison to attend, and prepared in consultation with Sarah Blott and Dr Jeff Sampson. The notes have been circulated to the Chairman of each breed club, for discussion, and placed on the Club website for the information of members.

I hope that everyone will be encouraged by this progress and the unity demonstrated by all the clubs.
