At the Championship show this year Simon Swift examined 172 dogs. His report is on the Club website and will be published in the Newsletter. Simon now has a position as Lecturer in Cardiology at Liverpool University, and this has given us the access to more researchers. The Heart database is currently being analysed by Liverpool University and European cardiologists. Simon has made recommendations to bring our heart testing scheme up to date and in line with the US and Europe. These proposals will be considered by the Committee and the membership will be kept informed. The research at Edinburgh University, sponsored by the Lub Dub Fund and the KC Charitable Trust, is now in the third year.
