The names of the dogs & bitches on this list have therefore been supplied entirely voluntarily and no conclusion should be drawn from the inclusion or omission of any dog. This list of MRI scanned dogs is provided for information only and The CKCS Club does not warrant any entry in the list. Information relating to the results of any scans can only be obtained from the owner of the listed dog. Cavalier owners, worldwide, who have had their Cavalier MRI scanned and would like to have their dog included in the list, should email the details of the scanned dog to The Webmaster. Please ensure that you include the following information: Dog Name (and titles), Sire, Dam, Date of Birth, Sex, Colour, Breeder and Owner. Please include the Country of residence if not UK. DO NOT include a copy of the scan or any results of the scan. The research into syringomyelia is ongoing, and knowledge of the causes of this condition is evolving. At the current time the consensus of opinion among specialists seems to be that the best way for breeders to proceed is to MRI scan their cavaliers & breed from the least affected dogs.
