Junior (6, 1)
1st Whitfield’s Bevelmount Red Beaujolais
This ruby boy is to me a true Toy Spaniel. He is the correct size, is cobby in body & presents a square outline. He was exhibited in top condition & in full coat & he caught my eye the moment he entered the ring carrying his head high & proud on a slightly arched neck of moderate length, which is set into a good lay of shoulder. He has a level topline & good driving movement & correct tail carriage. His head is what I desire in a Cavalier being flat in skull, having large dark & expressive eyes with good cushioning & not too long in the muzzle with a black nose. He has a good spring of rib & is short coupled with a level topline. His soundness in both front & rear quarters allowed him the drive & parallel movement lacking in many on the day. Pleased to award him the CC & later BOB.
2nd Wightman’s Ellemich Kenzo at Kailyflee
A richly marked blen dog, slightly larger in size than the winner but he is well-constructed with a good spring of rib & good length to his back. He has large dark round eyes with ample cushioning & his nose has good dark pigment. He has good depth & width to his chest, a well-rounded ribcage, medium in bone, with good rear angulation. Moved well & showed happily although I feel the heat of the day was affecting him slightly.
