Dogs Mr G Thomas (Jonsville)
I would firstly like to thank the exhibitors for a quality entry and to my two stewards, who kept things running smoothly. It was an honour to have nine champions entered under me.
Although the quality was of the highest standard, I was disappointed in the temperaments of some. I do not expect to put up the one with the waggiest tail, but I would like one to be fearless and outgoing, to enjoy their day out and not as the saying goes be ‘dull as dishwater’. I was also concerned with some with poor pigmentation.

Minor Puppy (10 Entries 2 Absent)
1st Hegarty’s Chantismere Cooper
What an eye-catching blen baby this is, nice shaped head, dark eye, slightly arched neck into good shoulders, straight in front, level topline on the move, with a pleasing balanced profile, well bent stifles, moved freely with plenty of drive, top class and will have a bright future for sure. BPD.
2nd Dawber & Price’s Almondroyd Acclaim
Nicely marked tri, pleasing head with a full dark eye, black pigment, straight in front with well angulated quarters, well bodied but could be shorter, level topline with good tail carriage, moved true.
3rd Mancey’s Estrid Oswald
Res Bloice’s Scotlass Power Of Love
VHC Sloan’s Turretbank The Magician
Puppy (3, 2)
1st Underwood’s Neddaow Ratatouille
Stood alone, richly coloured blen with pleasing head shape, showed white of eye, well off for bone, needs more confidence.
Junior (5, 2)
1st Greenall’s Charalier Dress To The Nines for Charlesworth
A mature blen dog, nicely marked, good head piece with lovely eyes, well bodied and angulated throughout, level topline, proud tail today but moved freely and with drive. I’m sure he will get his title soon.
2nd Williams’ Sancana Daddy Cool
B/T youngster, nowhere near as mature as winner, pleasing head with dark eyes and pigment, used his ears, sound in front, level back with good tail carriage, well angulated and moved gracefully, needs more coat and feathering to finish the picture.
3rd Mynott’s Honeybet Magical Dreamer
Yearling (5, 0)
1st Bubb’s Wandris Evan ’Elp Us JW
I have admired this outstanding young dog since a puppy from ringside and did not disappoint me today. What you see is what you get without any exaggeration. Well marked masculine blen with good breed type, nice shape in head, flat with good earset, muzzle of correct length and with a full round dark eye. Nicely balanced throughout with excellent strong quarters, moving freely and happy with the best tail carriage of the day. He is now coming into his own and has matured into a fine specimen of the breed. Pleased to award him his 1st CC & BOB and I was delighted to hear that he won Toy Group 2. I shall watch his career with great interest.
2nd Gibb-Stuart’s Chantismere Push My Button JW
How unfortunate that this dog was rushed into the ring and was expected to perform. I have already given him a toy group at an open show, but was beaten today by a dog that moved flawlessly. Button has a most masculine head with good filling and cushioning, dark eyes, short-coupled body with great spring of rib, level topline, superb angulation, well marked and the richest chestnut colour, did not move well here in the class nor use his ears, but later, when I called him in to compete for the RCC, he moved how a cavalier should, RCC.

Maiden (6, 1)
1st Hughes’ Loranka’s Heavenly Moments
Heavily marked tri boy, most appealing head with gorgeous eyes and cushioning, arched neck into good shoulders, well bodied carrying a level topline at all times, loved his profile and size and a real sound mover, wish he had a bit more animation as he would hit the high spots.
2nd Koster’s Harana Bruno Marrs
B/T with very good qualities, most attractive head, not quite finished yet, straight forelegs, good angulated shoulders, level back, and a happy mover, in gleaming condition.

Blen d, nicely marked, pleasing head with large, dark eyes, good spring of rib, although could be more coupled and happier.
2nd Wilkinson’s Narayden The Bruse in Poppywood
B/T, nice shape head but needs more filling, well coupled body, moderate bone throughout, unsettled at first but very happy, nice coat and condition.
3rd Bloice’s Scotlass Blueprint
Graduate (3, 0)
1st Rhodes’ Calonlan Wellington
A nicely made tri with appealing head and expression, level in back, could do with a little more length to leg to balance, good bend of stifle which allowed him to show well.
2nd Hedger’s Khatibi Peter Bread for Alrewic
Prettier tri male I have judged before, lovely dark eye, short backed and moved very soundly just needed more of him for a male.
3rd Firth’s Dunadrob Jenson Button
Post Graduate (10, 1)
1st Hamill’s Craebeck Scrumpy Jack
A pleasing ruby with lots to like, nice head and eye, shallow in stop, level topline, straight forelegs, well bodied with level topline, well bent stifles, lovely colour and moved true both ways.
2nd Hughes’ Loranka’s Moonshine
More qualities to this dog than winner, but felt a little heavy across shoulder today which also affected front movement. Blen from the top drawer who is lovely marked with lozenge, ideal size with well coupled body, lovely expression, needed more animation although he moved with good tail carriage, and loved his profile.

1st Searle’s Stonepit Franco I Believe
Tri dog of ideal size and shape. He has the loveliest soft expression, rich tan in all the right places, straight forelegs with moderate bone throughout, level topline and well angulated quarters, I really liked him and I hope he gets his title as he so rightly deserves. Didn’t move as well as I have seen him in the past.
2nd Rhodes’ Calonlan Will I Am
Nicely made blen of a smaller type, nice shape head, would prefer a fuller eye, short coupled with good spring of rib and very sound quarters, a real toy spaniel, but lacked coat today.

Res Mynott’s Honeybet Magic Touch

2nd Hughes’ Ch Kaishmar Kavanagh Loranka
This is more my type, blen d of the highest quality, full of breed type, no exaggeration in head with a gentle expression, well bodied throughout carrying a level topline at all times, hind movement could have been better today.

1st Hughes’ Loranka’s Could It Be Magic
A superb 9 months blen who is magical and from the top drawer, so well marked, soft head & expression with the darkest eyes, excellent constructon, well bodied, short-coupled with vast spring of rib, I predict a future for this one, showed her heart out and pushed the RCC winner hard. BPIB.
2nd Parson’s Emberlace Ilythia
A lovely headed B/t of idealsize, good shape head with excellent pigment with the darkest of eyes. Well bodied and very sound in movement, a shade more length to leg to balance, I liked her.

Nicely marked blen with a good front, well laid shoulders, level back, showing all the time, preferred the eyes of winner, useful type.

A sweet, feminine well marked blen girl of the higheset quality, very scrummy indeed! Her head is not overdone in anyway with gorgeous eyes and correct length in muzzle, black pigment, moderate length neck into good shoulders, keeping a good topline standing and moving, she showed her heart out to win a very well deserved RCC. Well presented and in immaculate condition.

I have judged this girl before and did not disappoint me today, lightly marked blen with a soft sweet head and expression, large dark round eyes, good spring of rib, kept her topline and was enjoying her day. Super condition. I felt she let herself down in the challenge as she appeared stressed and was panting on the move.
2nd Williams’ Sorata Barley Wine Sancana JW ShCM
A quality ruby with a pretty head and dark eyes, correct length in muzzle, well balanced throughout, a rich red in good condition, just lacked animation in the final selection.

1st Goodwin’s Ch Lanola So Like Shealagh JW ShCM
A breathtaking tricolour of the highest quality, one of the best heads for sure, almost flat with correct earset, well feathered ears, ideal muzzle length and has coal black double pigmented eyes, neck of correct length into good shoulders, straight forelegs, moderate chest, well sprung ribcage with a level topline, well angulated hindquarters, in full silky coat which was gleaming, not moving her best here today, but was happy and wagging all the time. I could not deny a bitch of this quality and breed type the CC.
2nd Homes’ Ch Leogem Rhapsody
A top class well marked blen with so much to like, not as soft in head as the winner, but nevetheless a good head shape with large dark round eyes, scores on make and shape, well coupled with excellent spring of rib, moved with such drive from the rear.
