Dogs Mrs M Mynott (Honeybet)
I would like to thank the SWKA committee for the invitation to judge, and the exhibitors for supporting the show; giving me the opportunity to go over some lovely dogs. For some, it was an extremely long journey on a Friday, which is not the best of days for traffic. I feel it worth a mention that some dogs were not shown to their best advantage through lack of schooling. Given the high cost of attending shows, it is wasted if the judge cannot see your dog’s movement or go over them on the table. Judges can only give so many chances and so much time to each exhibit. If the dog cannot move in a reasonably straight line at least some of the time it makes it so difficult to assess movement and give the dog credit. I also feel that the movement is more natural and flows better if the dog is shown on a loose lead rather than being strung up.

1st Bubb’s Wandris Gentle Reminder
Although heavier marked than I prefer I could not deny the promise of this Blenheim puppy. Well bodied, lovely head, right for his age sweet expression and lovely dark eyes. Moved well, holding a level topline. Well set tail, giving good tail carriage on the move. Nicely balanced outline.
2nd Wileman & Bott’s Ellemich Konstantino of Narvidar
At just six months old this young Blenheim is well made with a good reach of neck. Lovely expression from his large dark eyes. Moved out well, holding his topline and with tail held level. Needs to tighten up in the rear, which should come as he matures.
3rd Cunningham’s Verheyen Dustin
It was a close decision with 2nd and worthy of comment. I liked this tri boy very much; he has lots of promise, one to watch.

1st Hughes’ Loranka’s Edge Of Heaven
Lovely well-made Blenheim boy. Well broken markings with lovely rich tan in correctly textured coat. Loved his overall balance and expression. Has a good outline on the move. I would have liked to see him move on a looser lead, but he is young and that will come. Well let down hocks, good turn of stifle and lovely angulation throughout. Good topline and tailset, tail carried correctly. Stands four square setting himself up well when he stops. He is all boy but moderate in all respects. BEST PUPPY IN BREED. I was pleased to see him shortlisted in the puppy group.
2nd Hedger’s Khatibi Hedger Bets On Alrewic
Well bodied tri boy. Lovely head and expression. Dark eyes with softness to them. Well-constructed front. A little up at the rear on the day, but this will settle as he matures. Puppies go through these stages. Moved out well.

Well-made b/t boy. Lovely size and shape. Well bodied with a lovely coat coming, raven black with bright tan in all the right places. Lovely gentle expression with warm dark eyes and a twinkle of mischief that came through when on the move, well managed by owner. Lovely mover, driving from well let down hocks and well-turned stifles. Good topline held on the move and good tailset giving correct tail carriage.
2nd Cracknell’s Sorata Henly Wet Socks
Another lovely b/t boy of quality. Raven black coat in tip-top condition. Moved out well with drive and holding a level top-line. Super head with soft expression from lovely large dark eyes. Good rich tan markings in the required places. Not quite such a good tailset and carriage as 1st placed. A very close decision between these two boys.

A lovely well marked Blenheim boy of excellent construction. Liked his overall balance and he moved effortlessly, with style. around the ring. The structure underneath this well coated boy was lovely to go over. He has a good neck and good front angulation, level back and a tail that follows on from the spine, carried correctly on the move. I was happy to award him the CC and in discussion with myself, Best of Breed. It was very satisfying to later watch as he took Toy Group 3 under Judge Des Jenkins.
2nd Newell’s Corbieanne Charlottes Boy
It was not the class for this boy today in such strong competition. Well coated with good tan. Good front; needs to tighten up through loin and rear quarters. Good tailset. Good pigment.

Very attractive tricolour, well-made throughout and presented in super condition. So much to like about this boy. He is well proportioned and balanced. He moves out with drive from well let down hocks and a good turn of stifle covering the ground well as he flows around the ring. I was pleased to award him RCC.
2nd Maclaine’s Lochbuie Cappuccino
A lovely proportioned ruby boy. Gentle head, lovely eyes and good pigment. Well-made throughout, lovely tail set and carriage. Good reach of neck going down to well-laid shoulder and through to a level topline, short coupled with good rear angulation. Moved out well, with drive. This was a very good class and decisions were made on minor points. I have seen the coat on this boy look richer, it lacked a little shine today.

Lovely b/t male. Looks impressive in outline. His quality shines through to the gleam on his raven black coat. When he moves he is up on his toes, driving from the rear, purposefully covering the ground. He has a lovely reach of neck that gives elegance to the head carriage. Level topline held on the move. Lovely masculine head with soft expression. Rich tan markings.
2nd Searle’s Stonepit Franco I Believe
This tri boy caught my eye as a puppy and he has delivered on his early promise. He is the sire of my bitch CC winner and has clearly passed on his good qualities to her and some. He has a moderate masculine head and lovely melting eyes. He is well made and presents a lovely outline standing and moving. He has a correctly textured and well-marked coat. He moves out very well, I just felt today he was not quite as up on his toes as my class winner.

In lovely condition and moving out well with energy and drive of a much younger dog than his 10½ years. He was enjoying his time in the ring. A correct head with moderate stop and good length of tapered muzzle. Soft expression. It was lovely to see a full set of lovely clean teeth on this boy too.
2nd Latteck’s Pascavale Mikie
Approaching his 10th birthday later this month he belies his age with this enthusiasm and energy. He has good muscle tone. He is presented in gleaming condition. He has a lovely head and expression. Full of character.

Very feminine Blenheim puppy. Loved her size and balance, a true toy spaniel. Very well constructed. Head soft and with a sweet expression, large dark eyes and lovely pigment. Good angulation throughout allowing her to move out with drive. Good tail placement, carries her tail correctly on the move. Strong level topline held moving and standing. She concentrated so hard on showing at times and lost a little of her animation. BPB
2nd Hughes’ Loranka’s Must Be An Angel
Another quality puppy. Very well broken markings with rich tan. Lovely head, dark eyes and good pigment. Would like to see her move on a looser lead, but appreciate she is a puppy and a little bit of a handful. Very animated. Good topline held on the move and standing. Well bodied for her age. Be interesting to see her as she matures.

This well made, beautifully balanced young Blenheim girl has a lovely outline and a great attitude. She was presented in super condition. Good angulation means she moves out with drive; I was pleased to see a lovely set of black pads as she went away from me, a sign of good pigment. Her head is well proportioned and she has the most delicious, dark, expressive eyes surrounded by black rims. It is no surprise that this young lady has already earned her champion’s crown. She was just pipped at the post in the final line up by the CC winner. It was my pleasure to award her the Res CC.

What a super tricolour girl. Very typical head with lovely expression, very feminine, with rich tan markings in all the right places and warm dark eyes. Ideal size with a well-constructed body underneath a silky coat. She moved out with drive from well let down hocks and well-turned stifles, carrying her head elegantly from a lovely neck and shoulders. She did not put a foot wrong. Her topline is level and held on the move. Her temperament and outlook is typical and she showed herself off to great effect giving her all for her owner. It was such a pleasure to award her the CC. I found out when I handed it over that it was her third and her champion crown. Well deserved. BCC
2nd Bayliss’ Castlewytch Painted Lady JW
This Blenheim girl is well made, a nice size and has a good shape. She has a well-broken coat of lovely texture with good rich tan markings. Her head is very correct and she has a good length to her neck with the crest, good shoulders and front. Well sprung ribs with good depth, strong over the loin and holding her topline. Tailset a little lower than I prefer, but tail carried well on the move.
