Dogs Mrs J Boyd (Airlie)
I thoroughly enjoyed assessing the dogs. Not a large entry, but quality in depth, which meant splitting hairs in so many of the classes. My thanks to the exhibitors for their entries. Many, I know, had to travel great distances in inclement weather. Thanks also to my ring stewards, who were most helpful and efficient, and to the committee for their kind hospitality. I am pleased to say my co-judge and I agreed on all our decisions, so sadly our referee for the day was not needed. The atmosphere at all times was warm and engaging, and I had a lovely day.

What a class! Being faced with several of your favourites is a daunting task. This boy appears to be a bit of a character, and likes to keep his handler busy, but his happy confident disposition shone through. A dog well within the standard, and on the crest of a wave. He is every inch the champion from the tip of his jet black nose to the end of his tail. He fills your eye when standing, and on the move he is light on his feet and has perfect footfall on the difficult surface. Nothing about this dog shouts exaggeration. However the whole picture is of balance & complete soundness. His rich blenheim coat was in full bloom, and he carried the right amount of weight. C.C., and with the agreement of my co-judge, B.I.S.
2nd Cline & Sedgwick’s Am Ch Forestcreek Double O Seven
Another top-notch blenheim with a lovely outline, and oozing breed type. Not quite the drive of winner, but did nothing to disappoint in any department. Super presentation & coat. Really deserved R.C.C. in good company.

Bitches Mrs T Jackson (Amantra)
I enjoyed my day judging at the S&WW Club show as it is quite a while since I have judged bitches. I was pleased with my line up & managed to find what I was looking for, practically all the bitches coped well with the slippery floor as the floor mats had not turned up. I was pleased that most exhibitors were not baiting on the table as this is one of my bug-bears. My co-judge Mrs J Boyd and I were in agreement with all the major awards.
