Dogs Mrs R Baker (Cofton)
Firstly, thank you to the committee for inviting me to judge and for the smoothly run, friendly show. To Rob Dix, my steward, who helped me keep on the right track! But further thanks to everyone who entered, I appreciated such a lovely number of entries and the sporting way all placings were received. I found a big variation in size of exhibits, but they were mostly sound moving and had the correct complete scissor bite.

Post Graduate (4, 3)
1st Stanton’s Verheyen Isabelle at Cassandy
Although on her own in this class a worthy winner and I considered her for further awards. A perfect size and shape in my opinion. Short coupled, good ribs and bone on straight front. She moved extremely well driving from behind and showing the desired parallel movement in both directions. Flat skull, high set well feathered ears and a correct bite, with charming expression.
Open (8, 2) A great class of quality exhibits.
1st Rhodes’ Calonlan Tri Mai Chai
A well-marked compact Tricolour with a desired silky coat. Flat skull with long well feathered ears. Eyes dark and round spaced well apart and nice length of muzzle and face filled well. This gave her the most charming gentle expression. She had a good neck on short coupled body and moved well with a free-flowing action, parallel both ways. Topline good on the move just tended to drop it when standing. She won, as for me, she presented a lovely type of Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. Best Bitch & Best in Show.
2nd Lewis’ Carleeto Minnie The Minx JW
A bitch turned out so well, long gleaming silky Black & Tan with plenty of feathering in all the right places. Flat skull, long well-set ears and a correct bite. Movement excellent, drive from behind completely sound. She was just not as co-operative today as I have seen her in the past. But a close run decision.

1st Lewis’ Carleeto Midnight Dream JW ShCM
Well, what can I say, at 10 years old this charming Black & Tan out moved everyone! She behaved like a dream to show off her incredible movement. Parallel both ways keeping a level topline the whole time! A long silky flat coat still with plenty of feathering. And still a good mouth with correct bite. I love her wide dark eyes and expression. The only concession for being 10 years old is a slight fading of her tan!! A credit to her breeders/owners that at 10 she is still able to compete in top company. I just had to give her Reserve Best Bitch and obviously Best Veteran in Show
