| I would like to thank the committee for keeping my judging appointment available from the two postponement&rs that took place and thank them for their care. I would also like to thank my two stewards Gary and Julie for the care shown to me when I felt unwell and after a short break was able to continue with the judging. My observations are worrying, in that legs are becoming too short, muzzles are also becoming short and if we are not careful we will lose the correct taper to the muzzle. Also although this may only be cosmetic, our standard does ask for a broken colour on a pearly white and I found that many dogs were too blanket in colour. I found that I had very few wrong mouths today and all my placed dogs had correct mouths. |

A lovely blenheim of 17mths, well matured for age. Caught the eye when he came in the ring and did consider him for the res CC. Well coated with a lovely expressive head, large dark eyes which were cushioned nicely underneath good set ears that the feathering framed the head well. Good spring of rib, neck was nicely arched and flowed into well placed shoulders. level top line when standing and on the move. His movement was very good both coming and going, at one with his handler. |

What can I say about this dog that hasn’t already been said. I previously judged him as a junior where I felt he wasn’t quite mature enough for me, but boy has he matured. A very sound dog who is at one with his handler at all times glides round the ring effortlessly and is a joy to watch. CC, BOB and was thrilled to learn that he had taken the group and went on to take Best in Show. |
