Dogs Mr K Town (Barsac)
We were blessed with a glorious sunny day, the ring was half in sun and half in shade, the grass was cut short and the conditions were perfect. I had super-efficient and friendly stewards in Steve and Clare.
I started showing Cavaliers in 1970. Over this long period we have seen times when very large entries had quality in depth but that is a thing of the past. There were some outstanding exhibits entered but I saw a lot of poor movement and gay tails, and a considerable number of the dogs present would have tipped the scales at well over eighteen pounds.
Thanks to everyone who helped make this a very enjoyable experience for me at what was probably my last assignment; also thanks to the Committee of the W of E Club for the invitation, their hospitality and the lovely gift and Sandra who taxied me around. It is a beautiful part of England and I enjoyed the train journey in that glorious weather.
